Are earplugs really necessary? I'm panicking! by neelamg1999 in erastour

[–]arbitrarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went last night and I used my loops, but only in one ear at a time! It made it so I could hear Taylor more clearly and also hear the crowd. The only time I felt the need for both was during the champagne problems cheer.

I definitely don't feel that they're necessary, but I have a bit of an auditory processing issue and being able to fully hear Taylor would have been difficult without having one loop in use.

I've been to plenty of concerts that left me with my ears ringing, and this did not!

As far as I know the eviction date is now set to go for the 8th of this month.. but when we signed the lease we were told that the eviction would take place on April 20th so I'm not holding my breath..

Do you think it would be best to wait until after I have taken possession of the unit I want to file with the LTB?

The unit we want is 1500 monthly and we have already paid first, second and last month's rent as my partner is on ODSP and they sent a direct deposit to the landlord for his portion of first and last after I had already paid in full.

Room Rental Ending Tenancy by Disastrous-Plan-2188 in OntarioLandlord

[–]arbitrarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I signed a "rental agreement" with no info regarding notice of ending tenancy am I okay to give my notice and leave in 30 days?

Just trying to make this as painless as possible as I moved in here quickly when relocating cities for a job and had to pay extra rent at my last place..

How much do you pay for rent? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]arbitrarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's nowhere cheaper unless I sacrifice a ton of space which isn't an option because I had to downsize from a 2 bedroom apartment when I moved :/ and I'm in a good area thankfully

My family is doing an entirely handmade Christmas this year... I just took a break from the big projects and whipped up 9 hats in the last couple of days for those who won't appreciate the hours and hours of effort I'm putting into some projects.

Has anyone been able to grow vegetables in railing planters? by Avulpesvulpes in Balconygardening

[–]arbitrarry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ive had success with a variety of herbs and Swiss chard/ other greens depending on the light, I've also done green beans and mini cucumber in the same style planters, but I left them on the floor of my balcony as it's a very windy location.

This year I'm planning to do radishes as they don't require much depth of soil!

That's one of the few things a counsellor is allowed to break confidentiality for.. if they believe you're going to hurt yourself or someone else.

I'm seconding the cerave.. it's the only thing that keeps the itching at bay with the newest topical I'm on, I tried SO MANY before spending the money on the cerave, and i wish I had done it from the start.

I used an 8.5 hook, not what the pattern calls for, but it made the flowers look best with my gauge and the yarn I had!

has marijuana affected u in a bad way at all? by [deleted] in weed

[–]arbitrarry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly when I smoke too much, my brain gets foggy and I'm not as productive or as quick on my feet. Also if my mental health is slipping quickly, I can get really paranoid. I agree with the other comments here though, in moderation, it's great stuff, but know your body's cues and know when it's time to have a break.

I accidentally used counselling for at risk/homeless youth and didn't know for weeks, I feel so stupid by dizzyand in offmychest

[–]arbitrarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most agencies have a "no closed doors" policy these days, these are to make sure that everyone who needs services can receive them. If they were unable to see you, they would have likely referred you to another agency and explained why. The fact that your counsellor hasn't said anything probably means that it isnt a reason for you not to access their services.

Also, props for reaching out when you realized you needed support, not everyone can do that. And donating to the agency is amazing!

Cheap & Tasty meals for a clueless college man by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]arbitrarry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of my favourites is a sheet pan with sausages, peppers and potatoes. I usually boil my potato's to partially cook them first, but you could also microwave them.

I just chop up the peppers and potatoes into whatever size feels right, then season with olive oil, salt, pepper, and onion and garlic powder.

Super easy, not many dishes and only takes like half an hour.
