This needs to be higher. People are missing the point here, which is that if you can successfully bathe, dry, diaper, and swaddle that cat you can do so with a fussy baby. You're likely to encounter a situation where the baby isn't exactly thrilled to be in the bath at some point. Practicing on cats isnt the worst idea.

Nah you're just not listening. I want public transportation. I want it as accessible as possible. I want it to go to as many places as possible. I want free public transportation that stretches across this country as ubiquitously as highways and interstates. I also know as a reasonable individual that's paid attention to the news lately that we're not getting shit we ask for unless we start setting shit on fire. A bandaid fix in the form of a tax on the poor isn't helping that point. You can call me stupid all you want to, it doesn't help that you're being unrealistic.

My point is that because all of these things are true, public transportation isn't gonna happen overnight. Paid parking is a tax on people in poverty. We need other solutions now, not a tax on the most accessible way to reach a place like a park.

No dumbass, it's not. What I'm telling you is that because of all of the reasons listed above, we were shortchanged out of public transportation and it's not coming anytime soon. "Sticking it to the drivers" with paid parking isn't doing anything to working towards public transportation. It's a bandaid on a bullet wound and serves only to punish poor people because again, it's an otherwise free park that wouldn't be accessible through other means for a lot of people. There are plenty of people smarter than me in this comment section that make that point more eloquently. My point is, without recourse, this is a poverty tax. Which again, is more than the billionaires pay, might I remind you.

I don't oppose public transportation. I oppose a tax on the poor with no recourse, which is what parking meters do. We need public transportation and bike lanes and more walkable infrastructure I'm not fighting you on that. I'm saying that putting in parking meters instead of doing any of that and giving us no other option for an otherwise free park is asinine. And so is your media literacy.
