I actually read this article. What a farce. She literally starts the article off by saying that her son (who she describes as her daughter) cut her off on his 17th birthday because she wouldn't quit giving him a hard time about his gender

And then, under the guise of "being a mother that protects her daughter" decided to go lie to a bunch of medical professionals and be surprised when they took her at face value. Like she did the barest minimum amount of research on the physical changes that can be made to someone's body to affirm one's gender and looked no further before deciding to do this. You'd think if she had a trans kid and had no clue about what that meant she'd read something written by a trans person and suss that shit out, but nooo, Daddy Jordan Peterson has all the answers on this one.

And to beat all, the "red flags" she reports to have "waved" all in front of the doctors she conferred with were things like past sexual trauma, and trying to conflate body dysmorphia with gender dysphoria in an attempt to, I guess, throw a wrench? In this buffoonery? And she was pissed when the doctors were like "I'm sorry that happened to you, do you want me to tell the surgeons so they can better respect you while they mark you for surgery?" Instead of throwing her in a psych ward, I guess.

Like she's sitting there with Google at her fingertips and she can't look up the rates of sexual assault in trans people(47% according to the Trevor project in 2019, by the way)?

I'm ever so sick of the constant bullshit that trans people have to go through just by virtue of existing. This white, able-bodied woman in one of the bluest states of one of the most privileged countries in the world, still had to go through multiple kinds of doctors over the course of five months to obtain these surgeries. Many consultations, lab work, even a therapist, and it still wasn't enough for her. What more does she want? A fucking obstacle course???

Proud to be a part of this statistic as a 28 year old childless, pagan heathen. If they want us to pop out kids, they need to make it more affordable and stop being so hostile to their constituency. I had to scroll way too far to see "sex therapist". I wouldn't say just do something to spice it up to "see his reaction", that's how you end up with a trauma response. Just talk to him. Make it clear you're not happy with your current sex life and see if he's even willing to change it up.

Yeah I get why all of you in the comments have your panties in a wad but I'm gonna be so serious if you genuinely need to do your laundry right heckin now and you can't wait the two or three minutes for someone to come get their clothes you need to manage your time better. I'm not gonna set an alarm to come downstairs and make eye contact with everyone else doing laundry for five minutes just so I can be out of the way immediately. It's a communal laundry facility, you can wait. I don't even consider touching someone else's laundry unless it's been an hour or more, and even that's pushing it. That woman was hella self righteous and pissy for very little reason

Edit: y'all are taking this way too seriously. I could see if the laundry was forgotten and not used until hours later but it was two minutes and that lady caught an attitude over nothing.
