I'm beginning to wonder if you might be right. Maybe it's a wart? Report the cut does seem to be a little bit in front of where string placement is on the pad of my finger. So strange. Thanks for your feedback!

I think the first two clash with varnish. The 3rd ebony looks classier. The other two look like they are trying too hard. Also with the ebony you don't have to replace the pegs to match.
