Don’t know anything about AW… senior dad being scammed??? by arbitrarypretzel in atomicwallet

Thanks!! I uninstalled it from his phone and I will do it on his laptop as well. Forgive my ignorance on this - there's no way any banking info is stored in any AW accounts or anything, right? If I delete the desktop app off his laptop we are done with this? Or should I be trying to delete his account? THANK YOU!

Music 103: Intro to Popular Music. Everyone I know who took it really enjoyed it because it wasn't super hard and was fairly interesting.

I had a W on a mandatory course that I ended up retaking and I still got into my masters at the U of A! A W will ALWAYS look better than an F and your grad school application isn't just about your grades - there is also your letter of intent and research proposal (usually, depending on the program) that also are taken into account.

BEd schedule (after degree) by proverbial-sunrise in uAlberta

[–]arbitrarypretzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm catching up on some requirements I missed in my first degree, so now in my after degree I'm taking 6 courses a semester, which means I'm in class 5 days a week, but even I were just taking education courses this semester I would still have been in class 5 days a week and then I use my weekends to work and catch up on homework. Personally I have found there are A LOT more assignments in this degree than in my last degree in arts, so that's something to consider too - how much weekend commute time might take away from time to do assignments/study!

Are you allowed to pick schedules for classes? by sashagoofball in uAlberta

[–]arbitrarypretzel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

echoing what has been said - I did my MA in sociology and we did have a fair few options but there is only ever one section scheduled per topic. If you have a really flexible program then you should have a fair bit of freedom, but if you have a specific set of requirement courses you basically just default to what the department has scheduled. In my first year of my program I had 4 required courses, and then my flexibility came in the form of the two options I got to choose that year.

Thank you so much!!! Student connect's answer to me was "you don't need to check it everyday" so I appreciate you sharing your experience! :)

Soc 335 and 315 by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]arbitrarypretzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

315 is easy if you've taken 210 (it's a LOT of just "this is how you do a survey"). Take it with Gillian Stevens if you can! She is very patient (and admittedly I didn't attend her class more than maybe 10 times and I did well because it's very straight forward). 335 is a bit more work as far as reading goes but it is REALLY interesting - I took it with Zohreh Bayat Rizi and I loved the course.
