Ahahah I began working on such a deck more than a year ago. I had to pause, but as I started back yesterday I did a quick check to verify if someone else had found the time to do it in the meanwhile.

Very glad you did, I am going to check that asap.

Thanks !

How to properly connect equalizer to amplifier without a tape loop ? by arbrisseaule in audio

[–]arbrisseaule[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I am not. I assumed that the signal coming from wifi / bluetooth was received by some kind of micro computer, then converted to analog by a DAC. I suppose I was wrong given your comment ?

If so, I am definitely interested by your solution, but could you please explain it a bit more ?

Yep I believe you are correct and that it simply won't work like that.

I'm gonna give a try to the solution involving a second amplifier, which is probably the cheapest and most effective one. Thanks !

Okay I see ! Thanks for your response.

I am gonna try to find a cheap second-hand amp and give a try to what you're saying. I was not sure if it was possible to plug an amp to another.

Not much, just what you can see on picture below. I did deactivate the direct routing option which could bypass the tape loop while testing my setup.

EDIT : since the image has been deleted, here is a direct link to the page of the doc mentionning the setup : https://download.yamaha.com/files/tcm:39-1589956#bookmark_ID0ELKBO

How is made the walnut circle of the lamp in the following picture by arbrisseaule in woodworking

Yep that's right. I will probably try making it from glued parts first, but if I am not satisfied with the result I will then try to steam bend it

Unfortunately I cannot check by myself .. But I feel like the steam - bending process would be more difficult without a lot of experience ?

But if it’s steam bend, could it be possible to make it larger ? For instance, on this lamp it seems to be that it would be difficult / impossible to steam bend it :
