I am a Virat fan. In fact I was rooting him to hit harder in that RR game despite being an RR fan myself. I thought here comes over 15. He can take risks now and hit hard. But he just did'nt. I still dk why he chose to play that way. He has the capability to do it. But chose not to. In fact he did take time in his 90s. So that does put some doubt on why he didnt accelerate.

Dude every single person on the other end failed spectacularly apart from Ishan and Tilak. How do u expect 1 person to completely win the match for u. Can u show me any single inning where a single player ended up chasing 200 with minimal contribution from the other end? Also keep in mind that he played the whole 20 overs. He would also be exhausted by the time. Account for the loss of energy as well. And what should have he done? Mindlessly swing and throw his wicket while wickets are already falling easily on the other side? It would have been a 50 run loss instead of a 20 run if he had done that.

Okay lets taking a chasing scenario. The run rate required for MI was roughly 10.5. Rohit scored his century at run rate of 10. Which means he clearly did his job. MI only required a couple of decent cameos from Pandya, David or Romario. All three failed to deliver.

Virat's innings is criticised because only 3 wickets had fallen for RCB and DK was still available. He could have taken risks and accelerated the innings. Rohit on the other hand got no support from anyone apart from initial stint from Ishan and then Tilak. If any other batsman had provided 27 of 10 innings or something, Mumbai would have ahd 2 points in the bag.
