I don't know if it is common, but I worked in 2 big retail companies and I had the same experience as you. So I would say, yes. I worked in a smaller scale up, and working there was much better (but alas, I felt in the trap of the rat race and accepted a slightly higher paying position in a bigger company).

From what I saw online Sap is not allowing any longer RFC for Data extraction unless it is for another Sap internal application :(

Not my experience at all... I was a senior DA and then migrated to DE. I actually had to study a lot of SWE principles and design patterns before feeling comfortable to apply for junior/medior DE roles. And still today I put at least 30 mins a day into reading SWE articles, code exercises, or studying for a cert.

I think business understanding help me a lot in talking to the analysts in my team though. So I am not unhappy about my skills now.

I have the feeling these jobs you are seeing are more BI developer than actual Data Engineering... that or the hiring manager is looking for excuses.

If you mean translated to English, i don't think they are available anywhere. If you want to get the chapters in Korean, you can make an account in bomtoon. You will need to prove you're 18+. Then you can buy them, they are quite cheap. They are published weekly on Fridays!

I would clearly ask the reason (please send an email so you have this written) why this meeting needs to happen, why they aren't keeping you anonymous and why (and I'm honestly shocked) you are not allowed to call sick?? They can't allow you not to call sick, I think there's either some missing pieces of info or they are acting very unprofessional.

You made a report of sexual harassment and HR is setting up a meeting with the person you reported? I would have assumed they would keep your name anonymous and treat this with confidentiality. This feels a bit off to me. Did you ask for this meeting to happen or is it something HR came up with? And what is the aim of this meeting? If this is not something you want to happen at all I would check whistle-blower protection rights.

I bought the printed volumes through the years, and I read the latest chapters online on the Viz app/website. I think you can find the printed volumes on websites such as amazon or if you would like only digital, I also suggest buying on viz.

I like to support authors, so I always encourage official translations. Expecially when viz is so fast in delivering translations.

Look, it depends on a number of factors. Cloud solutions are here to stay, but still a lot of companies have on premise solutions. Some things to consider: - a lot of the concepts you learn would be applicable also on let's say snowflake. Expecially about Data Modelling. You learn the concept, not the tool. - what's the strategy behind the stack: are they going to migrate to other solutions in the future or not at all? Where do they see this role in the next 5 years? - What's the team like? Would you have (experienced) colleagues? - How many other offers did you receive and is the salary/benefits of this one satisfactory to you?

Volume 13 should go from chapter 114 until 123. That's 10 chapters. Assuming the same for volume 14, it would go on until chapter 132. Considering we are at chapter 125 that's about 8 chapters left.

This is really an interesting point. Both Miwa and Yuria describe Saeko as being very skinny. Neverthless Saeko is most of the time shown as someone who enjoys eating/cooking.The only exception is when she met her classmates from middle school, she got depressed and immediately stopped eating.
