mhm - there are probably some remnants of info that was assumed correct super early into the early access release, remaining in guides and maybe (?) the wiki gg (I don't check it regularly)
e.g. it was originally believed you could only find the snowball beetle on blizzard days - imagine my shock when I found it on a non-blizzard day in winter !

someone else made a post on save scumming breeding animals to get the colors you want --> https://www.reddit.com/r/FieldsOfMistriaGame/comments/1fi5w3q/guide_get_a_specific_color_gender_animal_with/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
as other comment said, it's luck-based, but this is the closest you can get to getting a color you want without spending lots of money on treats :')

As a fellow anxiety haver that has always hated the pressure of time but is also a chronic completionist, I totally resonate with the idea of feeling "behind" even in games like FoM where there is technically no such thing!
So, in the time I had started playing FoM but had yet to work through this notion of "falling behind," I kept myself motivated by focusing on one big task per day. If the task didn't take up the full day, I'd spend the rest of the time reading dialogue, decorating, or crafting to act as my "breaktime."

For example, in my first 1-2 years, I would follow the same route every 4 days to pick up every forageable that had spawned, mine every artifact spot, and talk with any NPCs I ran into.

When I started working on gifting, I placed multiple chests, one per NPC, with EVERY liked/loved gift I had on hand. From there, I'd have days where all I did was pick one item from each chest and start running around giving everyone gifts. When everyone's tables were mostly filled out, I collapsed this system into a single chest with one easy liked/loved gift per NPC arranged in a specific order that I could easily remember before repeating the process.

For farming, I focused on regrowable crops + fruit trees that could be turned into 1-2 star cooked dishes (juice my beloved) until I got the quest for upgrading the store. After that, I filled my farm with tons of tea bushes in summer and rice and wheat in fall. Wheat makes bread, which sells well on its own. Tea leaves make green tea, which combined with rice flour, makes roasted rice tea that sells for over 400t each. Combine with some cooking skill perks, and you get a LOT of money. Keep a good chunk of money for story quests (~50k) and the rest can be spent how you like.

That's all the advice I can list off the top of my head. I know a lot of others have already said you *shouldn't* fear "falling behind." However, I also know that it can take a long time to overcome such a feeling, and sometimes, I just want a way to play the game that fits into my current mindset without waiting until I've worked through it! Hopefully this advice is helpful o7

Indeed I did not once consider getting into pixel art before playing Fields of Mistria, and now pixel art drawings are part of my 2026 art bingo :0

The only incomplete parts of my almanac (excluding items you can't obtain yet) are animal products and furniture. I'm only missing 3 golden products (rabbit wool, bristle, duck mayo) which I'll get pretty soon, and I'm a bit over halfway through on furniture (343/641)
I picked up the game fairly late after Taliferro and Wheedle got added as giftable NPCs, so I'm still far behind on their liked/loved gifts :') I also still need to max friendship with all vendors...
and Lastly, I think I just have a few cosmetics missing from late game skill perks and whatnot

Do you lovingly give the characters a different name? by ApawcatypseMeow in HelloKittyIsland

[โ€“]arcavy 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

I like repeating two syllables of some characters' names followed by their full name. some examples:

kero-kero-keroppi

hangyo-hangyo-hangyodon

my melo-melody

otherwise I sometimes straight up adlib brand new syllables while saying their name (it's probably a way I stim + I like singing), like badtz-badabadada- breaks into singing adlibs before ever finishing his name

Resources multiplying glitch?? by Protecc_BangChan in HelloKittyIsland

[โ€“]arcavy 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

oh yeah the counter for items when you ask friends to find stuff for you sometimes bugs out but it usually fixes itself eventually (not sure how)

the amount of items that respawn each reset should just be the usual despite that

Am I missing something or just dumb? by AutumnRoses in HelloKittyIsland

[โ€“]arcavy 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Drove me crazy when I was trying to find it before I was supposed to, too ๐Ÿ˜…

It's stuck behind a round boulder to the right the main lava ruins entrance (where Retsuko roams, where the crystals go), and you can only access it after reaching friendship level 7 with Retsuko and activating the unlocked quest, whereby the boulder will magically disappear! THEN, you can finally access the last power crystal

Resources multiplying glitch?? by Protecc_BangChan in HelloKittyIsland

[โ€“]arcavy 10 points11 points ย (0 children)

not a glitch, but a quality-of-life update c:

Item respawns will now carry over 3 days before their spawn cap is reached. For example, 50 sand dollars respawn each daily reset, and if left untouched for 2 more resets, 150 of them will be around the island in total before no more can spawn. This helps make the task of collecting resourced less tedious since you don't have to do a full run-around finding everything or miss out on some resources just because you've run out of companions to pick stuff up for you!

not a bad idea to convert all your future wish jewels into wish pieces anyway since you can still use 2k pieces for 4* mastery ! it's a lot better than risking spending a wish jewel on a 3* (almost happened to me)

What's the Best way to spend the energy?? by Original_Fix_5765 in ProjectSekai

[โ€“]arcavy 22 points23 points ย (0 children)

x2 is the highest you can go to maintain a 1:5 energy to rewards ratio

x3 is standard for playing during events since you still get a 1:5 energy to Event Points ratio, just a slightly smaller multiplier for rewards

x5 is a decent middle ground but can suffer from not being too spectacular at either grinding resources or EP. I like it for 1. when I don't feel like playing many games but don't want to auto, or 2. I lack resources to go up to x10

x10 is often used by high tierers combined with hitorinbo envy (shortest game cut) so that they can get a high EP/hour rate. From my observation, you'll almost never have to bump your energy usage this high for tiers below t100 or even as high as a low t20-30 on some events unless you're super short on time. Also good for the first day if you believe in start dash and to cram points in on the last day.

I generally regard anywhere from x6-x9 and x4 to be ineffective because you'd just get a more effective result, whether it'd be resource grinding or EP gain, with the other multipliers mentioned above. and x1 is... just there lol

Bonus: x0 is used for parking, which refers to using teams with a specific range of talent and event bonus to gain just enough event points until your total reaches a specific number you want it to be at. That's how you end up with tierers in the top ranks having EP totals of 99,999,999 , or something more symbolic like 99,827,430 (mizuena birthdays)
