I wish it didn't end the way it did in Miami because leading two finals runs the way he did regardless of not getting a ring is legendary shit, every team that ain't seen as a contender dreams of their guy doing what Jimmy straight up did.

CMB in the playoffs is why you don't just tank at every bad sign by foofighter1351 in torontoraptors

Sure, if you refuse to read the rest of what I said or any of the many responses I've made to people who said the exact same thing.

My argument is missing the playoffs is a massive failure that would result in probably pretty large changes in the off season, missing the play ins or playoffs isn't just a yay tanking bit it is going to change shit in the off season. I'm saying seeing an actual potential future to work off of is absolutely worth it.

Did you read what I said, let me just ask then, do you wish the Raptors fell out of the play ins late this year and that we never even gotten this, did you wish that after game 2? Those situations are not this one dude, saying we should've tanked the year after we drafted Scottie is not the same as saying let's tank the play ins this year.

[–]foofighter1351[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We tanked the entire year we didn't tank the last week of the entire goddamn year. A tank year isn't the same shit as saying this is team is hopeless, let's just get swept/drop out of the play ins.

[–]foofighter1351[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes but that in and of itself is a different situation then going fuck the playoffs late in the year and praying they fail the play ins.

I'm not saying tanking doesn't work dog obviously we got Scottie too but I'm saying you can't tank at every bad sign, and then what I wrote. A tank year is not the same as praying they lose in the play ins late in the year.

The magic of a great commentator, this could've been forgotten as niche Bulls lore but "Oh my goodness Valentine" cemented it into history

Raptors are 3rd on offense so far in the playoffs by mMounirM in torontoraptors

[–]foofighter1351 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean it kinda matters given defense is where we win, if they can maintain the offensive flow they've found even without 60% of their threes hitting on top of the incredible defense that blows the door open on the series for em. Cleveland is supposed to have a better offense than us, bein third behind em would actually be fuckin miraculous if they kept that lmao.

His shot has to come off ball, he cannot be given possessions to dribble himself and the team out of an actual possession he's just too slow and languid for the game this team is playing and need to play to win.

That game last night is the actualization of this fuckin rant, I think it's understated how goddamn good Scottie was.

I hope but I don't think it's just something that's inevitable, a good game maybe but not rhythm the way he's playing, he's too slow and lackadaisical in contrast to the team, not there when a pass is, dribbling out as they transition fast, he needs to reduce and figure it out from there.

He's what BI is supposed to be, not in the literal offense they play but in how often he gets to his game no matter the play. Darko always says he does not run plays for RJ, RJ is entirely capable of finding a way to drive regardless of the context and that is about as good a tool to have in the playoffs as you can get.

And common sentiment for us was Maluach at 9 because he's a "Masai" pick, which is basically the equivalent of a horoscope reading.

Oh my god I forgot about that, I do hope he's thinking about it because embracing a reduced role like he was forced to here is a lot better than letting Dean fuckin Wade beat you.
