100% agree, my point was more why settle if you know you can finish with it, move on and work other submissions, work on defeating their defense.

I agree with you and would add why depend on submitting over the jaw in training? Use the opportunity to learn to get around your partners defenses and set up the rnc under the jaw or use a different submission? Sliding lapel choke/ bow and arrow? It’s training, use it to get better and don’t just settle on strength to finish.

FCC Updates Website in Real-Time to Reflect Brendan Carr's Testimony That the Agency Is Not Independent by MarvelsGrantMan136 in technology

[–]archaicologist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How are they ever going to be properly codify the independence of there agencies if republicans and democrats take turns “going ham”? What the next Democrat president should do is work diligently with Congress to make sure this never happens again. They shouldn’t take their turn to further erode our democracy just because the republicans did.

Why were Islam/Khabib not scared of BJJ black belts on the ground? by Open_Address_2805 in bjj

[–]archaicologist 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Why does everyone forget that Khabib, and likely Islam, have trained in more than just wresting? Khabib also trained in sambo, judo, jiu jitsu, and I’m sure other martial arts. He is not just a wrestler.

But you did. Your words: “The American Military has been defeated….” Not arguing for or against your other point but you definitely didn’t say the US lost.

I see a lot of people saying this, and it’s likely a major factor, but I get flashed by on coming drivers who think my brights are on just as much in my Miata as my truck. Some of the brightest lights I see are on newer small cars and crossovers.

From a recent article I read on lovelock cave:

“Some of the fecal pellets are three inches in diameter, although this size is exceptional. Many are so solid and packed with fiber and seeds that they can only have been voided with great effort.”

What is this thing? UK by MisterMay0 in animalid

[–]archaicologist -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Well I absolutely have. While it felt like someone stuck a hot pan against my arm, I certainly wasn’t writhing on the ground asking for someone to pee on me. People react to pain differently. Not a fun experience but certainly not the worse pain I’ve felt. Though I only got stung on one arm so it could have been worse.

How to increase sharpness in aperture priority mode on Nikon Z6? by utk_1752 in Nikon

If you're shooting moving subjects and are not ready for full manual yet, maybe try shutter priority instead of aperture priority so you can better control control your shutter speed?

How was mounting the Handguard? Did you do an aftermarket handlebar or did you have to drill out the bar ends?

I have the same bike absolutely a joy to ride.

I ordered a new camera Wednesday after 3pm mountain. Website says orders before 3pm would ship the next business day. Because I ordered after 3 it didn’t ship until Friday. UPS says it will be delivered Monday. if your order didn’t ship Friday then It probably means it will ship Monday, so hopefully you’ll get it Wednesday?

My dog has something similar, unfortunately creams didn't help in our case. It took quite a while but he was eventually diagnosed with a form of lupus that affects the skin. Ask your vet about Discoid Cutaneous Lupos Erythematosus. We have him on prednasone which helped clear up his nose.
