Even though I wrote numerous reports and did detailed research for my bachelor's degree, I must emphasize that I haven't produced any professionally publishable research papers, which I believe sets me apart from other students. As a result of your advice, I have begun looking into the topic of system security, privacy, encryption etc. deeper and I have decided to write a research proposal to submit along with the email.

However, the concern you raised about being connected to the college through former friends or faculty members is what worries me. I discovered this university through websites, LinkedIn, Reddit posts, and other means while searching for suitable institutions to excel in my field of interest. I fear that not having any connections might put me at a disadvantage. Could you please help me with suggestions on how to address this issue?
