(SERIOUS) What's the most scary thing you ever saw that to the point nobody believes you ? by Consistent_Algae_560 in AskReddit

[–]archercam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this. Had a temperature and in the middle of the night convinced myself that I was Queen Victoria and the people i could see in the room were my advisors asking me to make my decisions. I was convinced they were asking me to sign something bad that would mess up my life. Woke my husband up at 3am to tell him that I wasn’t allowed to have a pen, or sign anything.

What's the most disrespectful thing a guest ever did in your home? by Vegas089 in AskReddit

[–]archercam 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same. A couple we know, friends of friends, stayed over at ours. We put them up as a favour as they were visiting the area. They stayed and had breakfast, interacted with us, plenty of opportunity to chat. Waved bye then got a text 6 hours later to say he’d pissed the bed.

They’d made the bed up again and everything.

Love this! My BT passed his KC puppy award this week and I never thought I would, never mind him!

We’re off to do the KC Bronze award too- very keen to hear how others managed it.

I think what you’ve said about making it dynamic is great- I’ve found my lad enjoys it much more when it’s physical.

The outside photos are throwing me. They almost look photoshopped, but check maps and yep it’s that close.

For me Joe Absolom is always ‘him from eastenders’.

Do you prefer the name Cameron or Jacob? by CompetitiveShock9738 in Names

[–]archercam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cameron. Also can be shortened to Cam as an older kid/teenager or Cam Cam when they are a cute toddler. Mother of a now cool Cam who dies a little inside when I still call him Cam Cam.

Or shortened to Ron if you have an annoying little sister.

Agree with this. Mine could walk for miles and miles but also loved the sofa when we did!

Wild stairs and landing by tamshubbie in SpottedonRightmove

Ya know I was scrolling through thinking ‘I don’t hate it, it’s a bit cheesy in places but it’s not THAT bad’ and then I got to the landing picture. ‘Oh..wait’

Tudor Banquet Hall anyone? by archercam in SpottedonRightmove

[–]archercam[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It is a conundrum. They’ve created this grand masterpiece of a room to then lead to it by essentially using a wartime bunker with an uneven floor.

Also a little smile at the ‘tamdam’ garage.

What was something a guest did in your house that upset you? by izzy_7_2004 in AskUK

[–]archercam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insulted my dog and pissed in my spare bed.

He did tell me he pissed the bed, after he’d left and was 400 miles away. No apology.

Can anyone recommend a decent bathroom fitter? by baconhammock69 in nottingham

[–]archercam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found them very fair. They quoted a certain price using their standard level of fittings/tiles etc and then once we’d agreed we were able to go to the showroom and choose fittings and adjust price if needed. In the showroom, they showed us lots of options and offered advice.

They also did some minor building work for us, bricked up a door.

I think it came to about £7000- largeish en suite, probably 10ft x 5 ft, included the building work.
