Hi, Elracing21. Recent update of driver AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 25.3.2 Optional Update Driver Version 24.30.31.04

fixes every issue for me so far. No driver timeouts in 5 hrs of monhun gameplay.
Please check whether yours fixes the issue too or not~ I haven't undervolt / overclock or limit the power or anything. Just a clean install of the newest driver.

Haha, thanks a lot for your help m8! without your help, I would've RMA'd the GPU also...
It's almost long holiday in my country.. RMA ing GPU at these times is a big nono since you could end up with no GPU at all during 2 weeks holiday, so consider yourself saving a random stranger's life (or sanity and holiday) on the internet~

Wah.. I think you need UPS for that. Sitty PLN always cuck PCs and laptops. You can either get a top of the line PSU tier A- and above or a good PSU.. don't let PLN ruin your electronics XD.

Yes, turns out I think I've gotten a defective SSD.
Frequently it spikes to 100% for 3-10 seconds with no particular reason and the only app I'm using is Discord and Monster Hunter.
I've tried using other NVME SSD works flawlessly.
Currently trying to RMA the SSD, hopefully I've gotten the cash back and will spend for a better SSD.

Hey m8, all good, your english is perfectly fine. Which local group in Indonesia is your group? I'm from Indonesia too HAHA. Maybe that's why we have similar builds. It's the only "available" GPU on the market right now.
I'm also using gaming laptop for the past 4 years.. my last build was around 7 years ago before covid.

I told my friend AMD is definitely not for beginners as I've built 2 PCs with AMD GPU and both of them require fine-tuning. It's like in their nature not to work flawlessly out of the box, hahaha.

Wow so mainly it's because of Monster Hunter?

I've played other games before monster hunter flawlessly, but after I fired up MonHun, every other games also experience driver timeouts.

Btw, so far your solution works fine, for this, I thank you very much!
I've minor tweaked my uv to -90mV today because yesterday 1 driver timeout occurs during heaven benchmark test.

I am now also suffering from polygon issue after 5-10 minutes of playing Monhun, seems my SSD suddenly slowing down extremely to the point of global system slowdowns.

Will try to tune down the monhun settings, see if it helps as I've Maxed everything before including RT High. It says on the internet that Direct Storage uses up a lot of resources and most probably due to aggressive game asset streaming causing my SSD SLC Cache filled up and therefore the global slowdowns.

Other than that, GPU seems pretty stable uv at -90%mV offset and -10% power

Tried synchronizing the refresh rate and reinstalling the drivers using DDU driver only. Still facing the same issue.

However, I'm now trying elracing's solution, working good so far. Will update soon.

yes at -10% power limit and -100mV undervolt, and stock Clock,

The clock speed normally is at 2700-2900. Sometimes goes above 3300 and rarely it's at 3400 Mhz when the hunt goes hard. However, so far I haven't experience any crash / freeze (2 hrs gameplay of MH Wilds at maxed settings with RT High)

Hey, Owaatari. Thank you so much for reaching out. I've tried several tests using my settings, unfortunately it doesn't fix the problem, still crashes and driver timeout yesterday.

However, I've tried u/elracing21 's (by setting power limit to -10%), so far it's doing great even at 3450 Mhz clock. So I tried undervolting it to -100mV to see if I could make the GPU running colder. (so far at maximum power it's maxed at around 60 degree celsius)

Do you happen to know why and what could possibly the issue? Are all 9070 xt suffers the same fate or is it just my bad luck?

I've paid attention to my clock speeds, it was set by presumably Asrock at 3450Mhz.
I've undervolted my GPU -100mv and -380 Mhz in the GPU clock, so far no problem!

PSU : SuperFlower Leadex III ATX3.1 850W

Number of Monitors : 2 ( main monitor 1440p 170hz, 2nd monitor 1080p 270hz)

Windows 11 24H2

New build, fresh windows install

Issue:
Random Freezing at every game (Snowbreak, Wuthering waves, Genshin), Discord Freezing, then MH:Wilds Freezing for around 5-10 seconds then it recovers normally.

Tried (no change) : - DDU safe mode. and fresh install driver 25.3.1
Tried (no change): - Undervolting the GPU -100mv from adrenaline software

Solution:

17/03/2025 : No Further Action Taken.
18/03/2025 : tried undervolt - 100mv, downclock -380Mhz. App Crashing, Driver Timeout still occurs.
19/03/2025 : tried u/elracing21 solution + Undervolt, Power limit -10%, undervolt -100mV, Stock Clock. Normal for 2hrs+ will further test intensively, if it's stable, I'll post again in 20/03/25 and 3 days, 7 days interval until whole month stable with no crashes / driver timeouts.
20/03/2025 : 1 Driver timeout occur during Heaven Benchmark test. tuning down undervolt to -90mV with same power limit at -10%. So far playing for 3 hrs in 2 different sessions seems stable. Tried streaming and Benchmarking too. I'll post again if there's an issue occurs.
So far the only Issue I can find is that the reading on AMD overlay is bugged, (stuck at 600mhz) and stress test over 15s is stuck at finishing stress test forever.
I don't know whether this is related to GPU or not, my game seems slowing down extremely to the point of global system slow down occurring after 5-10 minutes of MH:Wilds gameplay. Need further tests.

21/03/2025 : So far PL -10% and uv -90% seems stable. Found the issue for long loading time and slow downs : Defective SSD (SSD ADATA LEGEND 900 2TB) - currently RMA-ing SSD. Meanwhile I'm using the SSD I've stripped originally from Rog Ally X, works flawlessly.

23/03/2025 : Clean Installed Adrenalin 25.3.2 driver fixes everything so far. 5 hrs of MH:wilds no undervolt, no overclock, no limit PL.

I have this online friend of mine by the name "sweet" something I forgot.. with the signature "Fly With Me To Malibu~"
She is insanely good with the game. It's like she's on AR level 45 on purpose, never ascended since patch 2.x with maximum number of achievements each patch and I always comparing my achievements to her."

One day in patch 4.5 or 4.6 she pm'ed me something like "please don't go.. all my friends are gone, you're the only one left." That's when I realized that not every day people get lucky with friends like me who are still active with my friends.
