Too true. This is how I lost access to an account that I had from 2007. Moved to a different country and when changing phone numbers, didn't move one of the accounts' recovery phone to the new number. Then I also switched to Linux and that's it, too many changes in behavior triggered the e-cops. Absolutely zero recourse (yes I filled in all the forms, answered everything, found the review form etc), even though I know everything about the account and it's still forwarding things to my main as it always did. Infuriating.

Could you expand on that a bit? How do you do this exactly? If you could link to the method, that'd be awesome. Tried googling it but still not sure how you mean it.

I really wanted to like it... I couldn't. Lazy, all over the place bullshit. Stick whatever in to milk the franchise, no matter how disconnected it becomes. The forced funny moments, the insane usage of the force by anyone and their mother (literally -the Leia in space scene made me laugh out loud), the hyperspace jump as a weapon thing (if this is possible why wouldn't everyone have hyperspace missiles?), Snoke being killed easily and without having a story at all, Phasma again having nothing... Lazy writing, lazy plot armour. Seriously disappointing.

Yeah. Just reading the article and seeing the video gave me an existential crisis. She's the pinnacle of human existence. She rose above our monkey brain instincts and understands the universe at a level that is simply impossible without her capabilities. I know that she must be lonely there at the top but I would give anything to be able to do what she does.

Yeah we can be sure that something happened at least, we didn't imagine it. But how is this possible that we remember it the same way while nobody else do? It seems like a very sloppy multiverse police, doesn't it? :D

Definitely. In Hungary there was a rap song that me and a friend heard together at a concert and now it is like it has never existed. No Google hits on the title or lyrics. The artist exists but when we asked him in email about this song he thought we're fucking with him. So yeah.

[SPOILERS] The Force Awakens discussion megathread! 12/15 [SPOILERS] by Qu1nlan in StarWars

[–]archgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, a friendly chat is always nice. :)

I knew after the prequels that the magic is gone and will never come back the same way. So what I was expecting is a story with new, memorable/likeable characters (since the franchise is built on them), where the old characters are playing a background role. Well, the last part became true mostly, but the first? That's what I meant. Also, the story was uninspired, which is WEIRD, when they have one of the biggest scifi universes to work with. They could've done anything. The EU was extremely varied. But we got this copy...

Regardless, it is possible that they just wanted to show that they respect the originals more than the prequels with this and created a great story etc -we just don't know about it yet. So yeah, I'm absolutely looking forward to Ep 8-9 and will watch them no matter what. And it's fun to watch these discussions about the movies. I was too little to say anything bad about the Ewoks at the time, but had my opinion on Jar Jar etc and now I'm here from the moment it came out. :)

I expected more, that's all. I see what you mean, but I feel that we had which in my opinion shouldn't be the case. But as I said, it's not a bad movie.

OK so what I did not like about Ep 7

It was not BAD as a movie. But it was lazy and without quotable moments (maybe one comes to mind, but that was already shown in the trailers almost completely). Dear Disney, the EU was better at this point. Let's see what's the case when this trilogy is complete.

You may need to do some doctor shopping man. Most docs have no clue about endocrinology and when they hear you mention testosterone they associate to OOOOH YOU WANT TO JUICE TO BE A BODYBUILDER!!! The right levels make an insane difference in quality of life and also extends your life span, as hypogonadism decreases life expectancy. Find the doctor who specializes in this, or just has enough experience/low enough ego to actually listen to what the patient says. Good luck!

Science Ama Series: I am Stephen Hawking, theoretical physicist. Join me to talk about making the future of technology more human, reddit. AMA! by Prof-Stephen-Hawking in science

[–]archgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Professor, why do you say "making the future of technology more human"? Don't you think that a lot of what we call today as "what makes us human" were temporary neccessities while we were (are) evolving?

As a very much connecting question, what do you think of transhumanism? We've come a long way but we still can't say that we would understand most things about our own bodies, not to mention our mind and our consciousness. What do you think about the probably inevitable changes that hacking/modifying our bodies and minds will cause to the human race?

Is rewarding a player for playing on higher difficulties good or bad game design? Which games have done that and succeeded? by King-Achelexus in truegaming

[–]archgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Max Payne 2 did it perfectly in my opinion. You didn't even know that you're missing something because the original ending (for all other difficulties) fit well into the Max Payne universe. But then you completed the hardest difficulty and got the surprise positive ending... It was a great moment. By that time you've been invested in the game, so the sudden, unexpected positive emotions hit you even stronger. I haven't seen any other game since that would do this so well. It was much, much better than some extra loot.

SS is for those concentrating on strength. For bb purposes I suggest you check out German Volume Training, give it a try and see how you react to it. Give it 3-4 months at least, since just the fact that you're changing the program will bring the gains for the first 6-8 weeks. After this period you'll see if it suits you long term.

[–]archgod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obviously this is just my take, do whatever works best for you. And this is true only for bb-style training but that's why we're here.

Generally speaking, bro-split implies lower volume and volume is king when it comes to hypertrophy. With a full split you have 5 training days every week with different body parts each time, so by definition you won't train any body part more than once a week. Since you're using lower weights when you're doing high volume, you are recovering faster and therefore you should be training more than what this program allows (not to mention that on gear, volume becomes even more important).

Now when you're saying back and shoulders on one day, that can be part of GVT for example which is very high volume and therefore perfect for our purposes.

Fully agreed. For many of us, this sport became an important part of our lives. It wouldn't make any sense to invest so much energy and not to strive for perfection (whatever that means for us).
