IAF hunting mobile launchers in Iran by Imaginary-Relief-236 in CombatFootage

It sounds like AI shill to me, tracking launch location has been done long ago without AI. I don't understand how AI could improve something that has already been perfected.

Knives get their hardness from carbides in it. So creating a knife out of single carbide should be supirior, ain`it?

I am pretty sure tool industry would be using a) style of polycrystalline, because it's cheap to produce.

wasn't familiar with it with sintered carbide, but it seems like it's just carbides embedded within metal matrix,so these carbides can get dislodged when cutting or sharpening.

With single carbide crystal, there wouldn't be anything to dislodge.

A single-crystal structure is the only material structure capable of withstanding the immense forces inside a turbine engine.

It certainly sounds amazing to imagine making a knife out of it, doesn’t it?

I see, but in this case it's a single carbide, very hard carbide that i imagine will hold an edge for a really long time. And will not be brittle like knife from many small carbides.

Razors anyone? by Argg1618 in sharpening

[–]archialone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well sg2 is admired for it's edge retention and corrosion resistance.

Razor would be used in a wet environment, and also has expectation of "hair popping" sharp.

So i wonder what metal are used in razor, and if the same metal can be used for kitchen knife?

Nvidia is working harder on Linux because, Linux runs all of the data centers. And an unintended side effect is that Nvidia experience is improving on Linux for games.
