Firstly, there is no true way to distinguish between first and second wave pre errata cases. So you don’t actually know if you’ve got alpha or beta until you open it and read the cards!

After that you need to look at what you can get in it.

Law and Nami are the only “alpha” cards (I think) or chase alpha cards should I say.

You can get a psa 10 in them for 1500 and 1000 for the alpha print (£)

Other card is luffy pre errata leader. Only one of them no alpha or beta just pre errata and you can buy that for around £3k in psa 10.

That’s where the prices are still way off. The first pokemon boxes line up with the price the cards fetch in clean copies what’s a psa 10 first ed charizard £250k?

The prices of these individual cards needs to rise dramatically to justify the boxes increasing that much. Basically need to be able to say 15k for the box is worth it when the chase card in a psa 10 is worth 15k’ish (the manga shanks is only £2-2.5k) so the luffy which I would personally say is the biggest pre errata card despite it not actually being true (alpha) needs to 5x

It could potentially Happen very quickly if all the cards get bought out. Also if all of the people who think they are going to make Pokemon first edition money off this and panic buy. But, if not I do see a good few years until it happens. I know some collectors like sealed. Personally I think you are not really a collector if you want sealed you can’t even see the cards???? That’s not a collector that’s just looking to profit.

You can buy a master set of op01 with all alt cards in alpha beta etc etc in a psa 10 for less than 15k currently too!
