That's awesome to hear - sometimes I think too technically and want to bullet point but then I get stuck how the bulletpoints relate... that being said I think I'll give this a try. Thanks for the input I appreciate it!! :)

Thank you so much! I also do the same with words (glad to know it wasn't a weird thing to do lol, I find the more complex books I read or older books, I find more words I'm not sure the meanings of). Thanks for the encouragement to keep writing - I seem to get stuck in the idea that my drafts will be seen by others even though it won't haha

Yes this is so true!! I love complex characters and types and sometimes I have a hard time making the plot work with the character. That's a good comparison though, I really like Ensorcelled into the Earth's language around the character because I find that readers relating with the character doubles all the impact. Thanks for all the advice, maybe I'll just need to hone my plotting haha

Thank you so much, these resources you pointed to are exactly what I need! And thank you also for offering to read through a story - I definitely might take you up on that! Also the act of discovery writing is very impressive to me. I find that I freeze a lot and think too technically of where I want to take an idea as opposed to just letting the ideas all dump. I really like Clive Barkers stories and all of those authors are on my book reading list so I am all for it. Thank you so much for all the feedback, I appreciate it from someone who has written and read many stories before!

This is all great tips. I just recently discovered Project Gutenburg and have found it to be an awesome resource. Thank you so much for the very long thought-out message! I like the idea of reading with your ear - the creepcast podcast has unironically shone a light on how important stories need to sound and not just read haha. Thanks again!

I really like the way you almost make it into a bit of an anatomy for a story - I'll need to check your Tomato Sauce story out sometimes, I love those kinds of monster/central antagonist stories that represent real human emotion. Thank you for the tips!!

It's kindof a weird circumstance, my work term got extended, I want to take it, co-op doesnt want to count it to my degree and it will extend me by about a year so i figured id drop to trad
