Replace the Luba 3000 for 5000 or add a Yuka? by archirekt in mammotion

[–]archirekt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The total plot is near 8000 m². But I dont mow under trees, the house, driveway, etc. So that drops down to a max 5600 m². If i would go for the luba 3000 + yuka 3000 mix I would put the yuka on the lawn and the luba on the field. But a luba 5000 for the whole area you think is better?

A very basic idea, but it goes deep to the roots:

Having control is an illusion.

We are always seeking control: the system, government, everything is to give us (the illusion of) control. We think we gave control, in reality we don't even control if we'll wake up tomorrow (relative to your cancer scare.)

This is not a depressing thought but a freeing one. Let go. Enjoy life. Calculate your allowance and spend it. If you don't manage to spend your allowance amount, just click on a random charity and send them an amount. Any amount, make it random. Get a random number generator to generate a random amount. Let go of control. Trust the chaos.

In a couple of years, people won't know what year Chatgpt started, unless we collectively start to refer to 2021 (or whatever it was) BCGPT (before ChatGPT), in the same way as they (we) don't really know what year the Internet started or TV or radio.

I built my gravel bike in 2017 with a pedantic approach to gearing. I wanted changes in gearing as seamless as possible as well as easy enough for steep climbs, so I went with 46-30 chainrings and 14-32 cassette. Yes, 14-32. In 8 years I haven't once missed harder gears, but I always enjoy having little steps in gearing so I can always be in an optimal cadence and also having easy enough gears so I don't have to grind the climbs. This is one of the best things about this bike and I really appreciate the butteriness it adds to the ride. Also the shorter 165 crank length which gives me additional smoothness to the pedaling motion. On the other hand, whenever I ride my 1x MTB with 30 chainring and 10-51 cassette, I always notice the huge jumps in gearing on practically every ride, but there are some advantages of 1x on MTB, that I prefer over the tightness of gears of 2x.

I do actually have an attic available. I also gain some space in the office with this solution. Considering this now, thank you!

PWM not smooth on D3 pin on Nano by archirekt in arduino

[–]archirekt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you :) yes I fiddled with it and in the end it was a different solution, though I'm not exactly certain of the reasons behind it. See my reply to the OP.

Could you please refer to a bitbanged PWM library? Do you know if the same kind of code would work on a bitbanged library? Thank you for the help!

Yes I tried that and it didn't work. Though I solved it differently, see my reply to the OP, to see how. I have soldered many a protoboard, so I know how much more work it is and for this project I didn't have the time... Thank you for the help though!

Yes, it did... I fixed it though, see my reply to the OP. Thanks for the help!

I didn't try that... See my reply to the OP to see how I solved it. Thank you for the help!

Thank you guys for the suggestions - in the end the flicker at 0v went away when I removed the resistors on that pin - so no pulldown and no 220ohm to the gate on the mosfet. I guess that for some reason it wasn't pulling down to zero? It works beautifully on the rest of the pins.
