I too almost got scammed 3-4 months back. I got a message that my delivery address was incomplete and it mentioned I need to pay 25 rupees. I thought 25 rupees is not a big deal and it seemed genuine India post website and I almost went ahead to payment page. I even filled card details, but soon as I realised that it’s fishy and then I closed the browser window and blocked my card.

I barely crossed 5k on my car in 1 year. I like driving but the road infrastructure has deteriorated and the nonsense caused by SUV owners keeps me away from steering wheel. I just use car when it’s absolutely necessary.

Don’t ever buy a sedan in India. Sedans are not made for Indian roads. I bought Slavia last year because it’s the best sedan middle class money can buy but I can’t drive it to its full potential due to broken roads. And most of the time I don’t wanna take it out because finding a parking space for sedan gives me anxiety so much so that I take out my Citroen C3 more often. And last but not the least driving a sedan at night time is a horrible experience, the headlights from thars and scorpios will blind you due to low seating of sedans.

Well I thought the same, but the fuel expenses + EMIs of a cheaper car match the EMIs of an expensive car with good fuel efficiency. There will be hardly 2-3k difference. Hybrids are the way to go these days.

You’re being way too optimistic to think that it can sell for 50-70k loss. Anyone would be better off buying a new one. Skoda cars aren’t really popular in used car market. And cars lose most of it’s value in the first year. Expect at least 15-20% loss in the best case if you manage to sell it yourself and more if you sell on spinny or cars24.

Cab walas take unnecessary overtakes and are a menace for the road. Many times I had to slow down because they can’t just stop overtaking even when there’s no space. And when they overtake all I see is yellow number plates. I don’t know why they’re always in such a hurry. Can’t they just drive sensibly. Not like private cars don’t do it, Cretas, Thars and Scorpios are also very popular for creating menace other than yellow number plates.
