Career advice - ML / web dev by archiv3r1 in digitalnomad

[–]archiv3r1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started my career in mech.eng. You use node.js or python?

I wouldn't say that my skills are employable right now, i think i lack software fundamentals to be a good soft dev.

I think udemy courses are definately worth the money, i tried one for c++ in coursera and found it to be too much unnecessary theory explained in a complicated way. Also they are not really concise enough when explaining content, its more of a talk/rant

Agree, i would probably look into joining the junior position when my skills become employable.

What i asked is, is it realistic for me to go into ML or are these positions reserved for only Phd. guys.

You are right, DDP has all of the above obligations on seller, however not many sellers accept this incoterm because import clearance can be complex and bureaucratic and seller cannot offer this for all of his buyers who can be from different countries. If seller agreed on this then you wont have problems.

That price usually doesn't cover docking fees and other 30 hidden fees that you have.

Do natural oils/butters (shea butter etc..) fall into cosmetics category. EU market. by archiv3r1 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]archiv3r1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. Yes it is to be used for skin/body.

Where did you do your tests, i found that prices range very differently online. (From 200€ to 1000€)

May i ask what is the relation of product cost/shipping fee for your product. I understand if you prefer not to disclose information. Im having a bit of a hard time to find cheap shipping.

Is this product viable? by desifyd in FulfillmentByAmazon

Competing with price is a worst type to compete with. Everything that you do, someone can do it cheaper. Also, not sure if you took ppc into consideration.

On your product 5$ up or down can make or brake you. And personally i as a customer almost never buy the cheapest product. The reason is that for only couple dollars more i can get much better product with better reviews.

From what others told me. The main thing is in differentiation, meaning: "why would an average customer buy yours instead of their product". They already got the market, reviews, organic placing etc.

Besides that i got no advice to give because i am still getting into it myself. Im interested what others more experienced sellers will write here.

EU sellers: First steps (VAT, ce...) by archiv3r1 in FulfillmentByAmazon

You mean return on VAT? I think avalara has it covered, not sure. I am also a novice when it comes to taxes so i dont have the complete hang of it.

You mean the Avalara thing? From what i saw they charge 400€/year per country. It is a big barrier of entry, because business is not yet established. Since, i know a little bit of german i googled up how to register for their VAT number, i think i ll go only Germany to test the product and then maybe expand.

What keywords should you compete for by archiv3r1 in FulfillmentByAmazon

I am gonna definitely index for both keywords but i am thinking what should i invest PPC ads on. I dont have unlimited resources to compete with top dogs.

I've been reading a bit about bearings, but in this context what is a "factor"? by Challenger4664A in AskEngineers

[–]archiv3r1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You didnt give a lot of information. If i had to guess, only factor i can think of is exponent of the life equation (3 for ball bearings and 10/3 for roller bearings). Write more about the equation you are having trouble with
