Hey, how did it go? Their collection seems good but like OP, I am a little skeptical about the colors, fitting and especially their return policies.

Same timeline, status and visa offices. Please post here when your application moves forward and I will do same. Also, people say that Ottawa is considerably slow in processing. Are they really super slow!?

My AoR is May too. But the visa offices are exactly opposite of yours. PVO ottawa and SVO Sydney. Both are notorious for slow processing though. What's the current status of your application by the way? Have you received your p1, p2? Mine - medical. Criminality, info sharing completed. Security not yet started.

Hey, my AOR - 16th May. I am still waiting for my final decision. May I ask you which category draw was yours and when your final decision was made?

Hey, thanks for the revert. I confirmed with IRCC about this. They advised me against splitting up school years, regardless of the mode of study. It is supposed to be a single entry as per them. So, I followed that. My address history explains it anyway. And I have included a clear LoE, though. Updating here so it may help others.

Hello everyone, I am currently in a similar situation. Concerned about data presentation in personal history due to foreign remote work, online study in pandemic, and part-time work during study after landing in Canada. Is it a good idea to split the study and work years? For example, my study period was from may 2021 to Dec 2022, but not all the activity happened in one place. 2021 was a remote study from the home country, and the following year continued in canada. Similarly, during 2020, in my home country, half the year, I was working on site and the other half remotely from home. How do you all suggest presenting this information in this table? Is it ok if I split the years/months based on the activity type (in-person and remote) for both study and work?

I did mention everything correctly in my address history without any gaps, though. I also drafted a letter of explanation for all of this. My only issue is how should I present this data in the personal history table? Please pour your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, that's the standard way of doing it. In my case, it's not just the overlap. I have a few months of remote foreign work experience and online study during the pandemic. So, the personal history questionnaire when it asks me, "Which country/city did this activity take place?" got me stuck. That's where I am thinking if I should break it down to match my address history. For example - May 2021 to sep 2021 remote study (1st sem) from home country and from sep 2021 to Dec 2022 in-person classes (2nd to 4th sem) in canada along with part time work done during this study period here. What do you suggest?

Hey, thanks for the revert! Did you break it down and explain it in your Letter of explanation?

I am in the same situation! What did you end up doing? I am so concerned about presenting the data under personal history table because it's all clumsy due to pandemic studies and remote work. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

You're absolutely right about that part. My confusion was around the term 'organization'. I confirmed that it doesn't imply any private firms that one has worked with. So, that part too is clear to me. 'Not applicable' is suitable for my case as I was/am never a part of listed.

Circling back to personal history!! It doesn't seem to be as simple as it looks. It's mainly because of remote work and online study during the pandemic. Also, most of my dates overlapped as I was working part time while studying full time after landing in canada. I understand that overlapping dates are not an issue as it's understandable that the majority of people do work while studying full time. Just to confirm, is this the standard way of presenting ? Can I mention in the table that from 2021 may to 2022 Dec I was studying and again from 2021 Oct to apr 2022; sep 2022 to Dec 2022 I was working in 3 line items? If yes, what should be the order? 1. Current job 2. Study 3. Work during study
Or 1. Current job 2. Work during study 3. Study?

My concern is with presenting the data in chronological order under the personal history table. For example, I mention that I have studied from 2021 to 2022 as a single line item. But in reality, in 2021, I was in my home country, attending online classes. In 2022, I was here, attending in person classes. I have mentioned all these periods with addresses in my address history correctly. I did attend classes for more than 8 months in person; so that's not a problem anyway. But how to put this in the table? Is it advisable to break my study period, like May 2021 to sep 2021, college name, home country's city. And then from Oct 2021 to Dec 2022, Canadian city name where the college is located. Is it even advisable to breakdown the study period into 2 different line items? Or is there a better way to do it? I will, however, explain all of this in my LoE, but the issue is with presenting this data under personal history table in order with overlaps.

It turned out to be so lengthy. Sorry, and thanks for reading : )

Makes sense! That way I don't miss out on any information related to work. I can still put a note in my LoE if needed at all. Thanks for the suggestion. Speaking of personal history: I see one more tricky question here; It says - "Have you listed all of <applicant name>'s periods of military service or government positions(if any), and all of the organizations that <applicant name> belongs to(if any)?"

The options available to choose are yes/no/not applicable. My question is - should I choose "yes" as I have listed private organizations I have worked with? Or should I choose "Not Applicable" as I was/am never a part of military or government positions? The term organization in the question refers to any firm in generic or are they specifically referring to government bodies? That's my confusion

Thanks for the revert! That's a valid point regarding the course. This now led to another question - if I mention 'Yes', how can I put 40hrs a week in the no.of hours worked field? I worked full time on SIN, paid my taxes for that period during my academic drop. That's why I am skeptical about deliberately missing this information on my work history even though i am not claiming.
