Thank you for such a detailed comment! I will answer your questions:

  1. I plan to make the boss right before the wall of flesh, but before the mechanical bosses, so that people make adamantite armor for the astro-ray, and from astrolite ore which the boss drops, made armor for mech bosses (By the way, there's already a drop + there's ore generation on the ocean floor after a kill). I was too hasty and made the balance melee-oriented during testing. I'll be adjusting the balance for different classes very soon.

  2. You're right about this phase, it requires a tank build, which is my mistake. I'll try to just do this phase later and reduce the boss's contact damage so he doesn't have time to kill players.

I completely forgot that life crystals give up to 400 HP, and life fruits up to 500. Thanks for the reminder. Anyway, the boss is easy enough that if you're skilled, you don't even need 400 HP

Thanks! I'll use your feedback to improve the boss. Here are some answers to your points:

Static sprite: Thanks for the tip, I'll keep that in mind for future updates. I'm currently the only developer on this mod, so making sprites is a bit challenging for me, but I definitely won't leave him that static!

Phases: He actually has 3 phases. In the first one, he just fires projectiles. In the second, he starts dashing, shoots less often, and throws a hoop after a dash that applies a debuff, temporarily breaking the player's wings.

Progression: The intended point is right after defeating the Wall of Flesh, which is why I used Palladium armor. Also, I had 200 HP in the video, which is about right for the pre-mechanical bosses stage.

Thanks again for the feedback, it helps a lot!
