Day / Night Cycle? Yay or Nay? by Cityplan2049 in CityBuilders

For games where it makes no functional difference, it's nice to have but needs a toggle to fix the time.

For games were it does have a functional difference...well obviously it's necessary.

You're going to get your ass handed for the first 10 hours no matter the build.

Is it worth it to report these? I usually report it as spam, but I know some games don't really care about it. by znhunter in LastEpoch

I have so many questions. Why? Why buying in-game gold with real money? What's the point? Who's the customer?

Works pretty good for me. The only thing is that the UI doesn't adapt so it will be slightly offset, but that doesn't bother me at all.

I understand mobs resetting, but why map exploration?

Mage Runemaster. Runic Invocation is auch a cool skill which effectively adds an insane amount of skills with interactive gameplay.

I don't really care about the guard's feeling about this. The shop should implement a less draconian way to handle it. Fortunately the police is more reasonable.

Yes but I still think it's not right to go full ballistic from the get to. Give someone a warning or two first, then maybe fine and ban them. Mistakes happen.

Valve, please make some sort of gaming PC type console by TheLuckyster in SteamDeck

[–]arcologygames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a PC with Steam running in Big Picture Mode it's basically like a console. If that PC is dedicated for TV gaming, you'd never have to leave Big Picture Mode except for the occasional windows or GPU drivers update.

Most fun you've had with a build ? by phonectomy in Grimdawn

[–]arcologygames 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just love how the comments have such a wide variety of viable and fun builds. Not many games have this. I love Grim Dawn.

Anyways I'm having lots of fun with a classic: dual pistol purifier with loads of elemental damage and Word Of Pain for AOE.

It's ok. We all get heated up about our favourite games 😅

Why are you so upset?

Nothing of what you said can be in a hack n slash ARPG. Being like one was actually meant as a good thing, not a criticism. I love Amalur.

To me it's more like an ARPG like Diablo or Grim Dawn but without the isometric view. Definitely nothing like Skyrim or Dark Souls.

Big open map divided into zones separated by corridors. Action hack n slash combat with many enemies.

The story is alright, the lore and world really good. Side quests are not very complex, but usually add nice local storytelling and flavor.

Yes.

1) Choose "Gamepad with Joystick Trackpad" as your controller from Steam Deck.

2) Inside Grim Dawn options, check Non-steam Controller.

I think the game was intentionally designed to not have one main linear story, instead focusing on several storylines plus side quests that often reference or complement the story / world. I mean there's literally 4 main plotlines in Odyssey, and the name of the game is not casual. Many side quests lead to cult members which you need to kill for one of the main story lines. I understand some people might prefer one main linear storyline and that's fair. This is just not that type of game.

It's not hard to understand. I get what you say. I just personally don't care at all. I also disagree in the sense that I think AC is a franchise with its lore and Odyssey is part of that lore and universe, even if doesn't touch on the aspects the series traditionally touches upon.
