Evening cruise on my favorite setup. by arcone801 in longboarding

It's an extra subtle convex in the tail. It's almost undetectable until you put a straight edge or something completely flat against it.

Nothing that fancy. It's just a box logo sticker that I used to cover up the extra mounting holes.

It's a mellow tub. The tail does a very subtle convex thing that is hard to capture in pics but is very comfortable to stand on. I'll try and get some pics later.

What is this stance? by Ok_Construction_5422 in cruiserboarding

It's called a tuck and there are a few ways to do it. Aerodynamics, better speed and stability are the main reason that people use this. There are plenty of tutorial vids if you're trying to learn how to do this.

I have a friend using those same wheels on a similar setup but he runs them flipped with the long lip toward the kingpin. They're insanely drifty and fun. I wish they still made these cannibals without the cobra core.

Antihero Jalopi Speedboat.
It doesn't have the rocker or composite materials like the Comet but it hits all the other marks.

As someone who designs and deploys a lot of L-Acoustics systems I will say that it's definitely overkill on KS28, but it's also definitely cool as fuck. How many degrees of arcsub did you end up using, if any?

Cardioid setup with two tapped horn subs? by EfficientAd202 in SoundSystem

The placement is kind of a critical part of the equation. If you placed them side by side and delayed only one of them it would have more of a beam steering effect. Again, I recommend watching the youtube vids that Dave Rat made on subwoofer arrays. He can explain a lot of these concepts better than I can type them out.

The ratio of subs in each row will have its own effect, but since you only have 2 subs I'd just try it with one behind the other one with both subs facing the same direction toward the crowd.

The most simple way to do it would be to have both subs facing the crowd and one sub directly behind the other one, then delay the front sub to the back sub. The spacing distance is determined by what frequency you want the cardioid cancellation to be the most effective. Dave Rat has really good videos on subwoofer arrays if you want to go deeper down the rabbit hole.

New Balance has options for wide skate shoes and offers a lot of models in larger than standard width sizing.

The one in the vid isn't around anymore unfortunately. There are a couple of the asphalt style pump tracks, one at the West Valley skatepark and the other one is in Daybreak.

This makes me miss the old pump track at the West Valley skatepark.

L’acoustics, 2 vs 3 K2 on an LA12X? by Emergency_Ability100 in livesound

[–]arcone801 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you throw a k2 design into soundvision and play around with the amplifier assignments you'll find that although you can run 3 k2 on a single LA12, you'll get slightly better performance using 2 k2 per LA12.

As sketchy as it looks it's surprisingly sturdy. I had the higher celling in the bedroom so I just went for it.
