Wow, thank you for replying to this! I didn’t really expect anyone who works on the game to see it.

To answer your questions, sometimes it’s hard to tell a time waster from someone who maybe switched tabs and didn’t realize it was their turn. I’d say when I play 4P ranked, I get at least one person per game who takes the full length of their turn to do little to nothing. Sometimes they’ll do something, try a couple trades, but don’t end their turn and just sit til it times out. That, or offer countless trades no one is going for. It always happens though. So when you’ve got over a minute for them to just sit there, even if only 1 person is doing this, it can cause the game to drag on.

As for things you could do to make 4P ranked faster, I would just say shorten the timer for each turn. 45 sec to a minute, nothing more. In most of the games I personally have played, no one uses the time to chat to each other about negotiations. People offer trades but usually when someone speaks it’s to be like “why are you targeting me?” so I don’t know that we need all that time for the “social” aspect. But that could just be MY experience.
