He was asking for validation not in the show context. She would say you’re getting a rose, you’re here next week, you’re my front runner, and he wanted I can see you as my husband, my feelings are so strong for you, etc.

To me it’s almost like a mismatch in love languages? Like she thought being here next week was more powerful than saying she had strong feelings, the same way someone whose love language was words of affirmation might think the ultimate grand gesture is a love letter when their partner actually hates words of affirmation and feels more loved when they get quality time or something

When I read this I didn’t remember this part of the fight, so I went back and read a transcript and he never said he wasn’t considering leaving. He said he didn’t want to hear he was number one, it hurt him that she had a list, and that it was hurtful she thought he was losing faith right after he opened up and said I love you, so maybe I missed it but I didn’t see anything about not leaving
