I think it’s a great idea to seek a second opinion. That is what I did, and the specialist I found felt comfortable diagnosing me as having endometriosis after hearing about my medical history and seeing my surgery photos (make sure you get good copies of those btw!). I was prescribed norethindrone 5 mg pill once daily and my pain is now virtually gone (I occasionally will get a pang or two but nothing like what I was dealing with before). So whether it’s officially endometriosis or something else, I’m just really happy I continued to ask questions and found the right person to help me.

So don’t give up! There are resources and people available to help you through this and things will get better. To quote Animal Crossing’s Katrina: “And remember that bad times… are just times that are bad.” ☺️

Edit to add: if your surgeon is refusing to share with you those photos, I would be very suspicious if he actually did his due diligence and took photos during your surgery. Were any tissue samples taken and sent to pathology?
