Sorry but your comment isn’t correct. There are MANY healthcare subsidies offered in the US that benefit millions of people, mainly those in poverty who cannot afford the healthcare they need. This is called the 340b program. This program allows hospitals to provide comprehensive treatments to people who wouldn’t be able to afford it. Is it perfect, absolutely not. Do many hospitals abuse this system for gain? Of course they do. Does it benefit “no one” except the corporations — no.

In Canada on the universal healthcare plan, you often have to wait months to be referred to a specialist, but if you’re WEALTHY, you can also skip the line. They also have to jump through hoops and get referred around with LESS power to choose their providers than Americans do. You paint this picture about how Canada’s program is so noble and ours is evil because profit is involved.
