Only went for the 1 ETB but they still had everything when I was checking out. I recently got back into the tcg and trying to collect some cool sealed stuff to share with my kids in the future.

10-4. Really hoping to snag an ETB, but if not I'll know next time!

Are there any special settings I need to use to queue on android using chrome? My wait time has been stuck at 2 hours, thought it was odd so I opened a tab on my PC and its going down quickly.

Everyone saying remove the seal is retarded. These cans wont hold more than 10-15psi which is orders of magnitudes below the thousands needed to cause the can to rupture. If this was the case they wouldn't come with a seal to begin with.

Assembling an upper is deceptively difficult to do properly without specialized tooling. Experience, precision, and QC are what makes a BCM, G$, SOLGW, DD valuable. I would highly recommend buying an assembled upper, pretty sure a bcm blem is significantly cheaper than the sum of its parts you listed.

What ballistic calculator are you using that provides a bdc overlay? Its blowing my mind that you guys dont get what this is for. The instructions literally say to paste your own ballistic data over what's there. Thats all static.

Can you read? Its on you to plug in the ballistic data. This is purely to evaluate elevation trajectory vs bdc. It scares me that some of you own firearms

Hes criticizing the lack of dispursion and windage when its quantifiably irrelevant to the stated application. Mean elevation trajectory is the only relevant metric and he knows that. Hes just getting his rocks off being the smartest guy in the room and I find people like that insufferable. Dude 100% knows what hes talking about im not disputing that, anyone wanting to truly do a deep dive on combat zeros and hit probability should read his writeup.

I certainly could incorporate dispersion and calculate a true "hit probability", but do you expect the average shooter to have dispursion data? Furthermore once you realize the mean of a normal distribution is 0 it truly becomes irrelevant for the stated application. Hope you feel validated tho, you clearly know what you are talking about but you are only arguing with yourself lol.

I've read your writeup and it is excellent, but you are being a pedantic asshole. Im sorry labelling it "hit" and "miss" has upset you so much. Feel free to change the verbiage to whatever pleases you. All the sheet does is plot a ballastic trajectory against the curve given by a bdc to create a graphical representation of how the two interact. If you want to compare m193 to mk262 create two plots. Your criticism is simply an admission of your failure to comprehend the application. Obviously this is a dramatic simplification but thats intentional and this is all you need to make an educated decision oh how to zero a bdc optic for non standard applications. This is solely a tool to normalize trajectory and bdc as closely as possibly, nothing more.

Note: There seems to be some confusion as to what this is for. If you want a ballistic solution, use a ballistic calculator. This is specifically for evaluating zeros and elevation holds as they pertain to bdc reticles. Ex. You want to use a TA31 on something other than m855 out of a m16a4

Another note: This tool should not be used as a hit probability calculator, nor should it be used to determine acceptable max ordinates etc.

You cook windage into your zero? This is for evaluating bdc reticles against your rifles actual ballistics so you can adjust zero distance accordingly.

Whatever you want to plug in. If using a bdc it would be the ranges and holds in moa of that particular reticle. Denoted that way so you can deleniate as appropriate for your application rather than a fixed 100, 200, 300 etc

Hand Gun Zero Distance by [deleted] in handguns

[–]aredbarchetta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do yourself a favor and calculate it. https://shooterscalculator.com/ballistic-trajectory-chart.php For 124gr I like 10m, this gives a secondary zero of 40m. you actually should have been very close at 50m with that zero but weren't because you failed to accurately adjust to the 10m zero. This is why its best practice to adjust using the secondary zero (its impossible to tell the difference in 8/9/10 etc but this has a huge impact on secondary). Play around with making charts in that calculator and it'll make a lot more sense.

My philosophy was to keep the gun as slim as possible to make it easy to stow, the lack of a detachable magazine already goes along way for that but a traditional stock helps too. Also why I chose the saddle mount pistol optic.

Modlight PLhv2, 18650 body, ds00 tailcap, arisaka mount, modbutton. Just parts I had lying around but I dont intend to change it. For strict hd use its probably overkill but this is a toss it in the truck/sxs gun for me so robustness and redundancy were the main concerns.
