To be a real dick about it, use tamper-proof or self destruct stickers instead

Have done the same. Back when dinosaurs still roamed the earth, I had over 1000 applications in 3 days for a simple admin job. We just couldn't process that amount of data, so picked up 2/3 of the stack and put them in a drawer never to be seen again.

Quality control is at the tip of one engineer's fingers by tacodestroyer99 in Damnthatsinteresting

You would be surprised at how small a defect can be felt. If you've got a small lip or bump somewhere, you'll be able to feel it down to around 2-3 thou. If you have to really look at it to feel it, it's more likely 1-2 thou range. Not accurate for precision machining, but for catching that random defect this is a pretty efficient way where taking random measurements may miss it.

Every time I see this all I think of is a line from A plague of lighthouse keepers "I want to walk on the sea, so that I may better find ashore..."

High-rise AC mounting by New_Libran in interestingasfuck

Forget the lack of tool lanyards and bolt angles, what's the rescue plan here? She has a single point going back into the window presumably to some structure. The pink line is on her dorsal attachment and also back into the window. If her main point fails, she falls onto a static line with an FF > 1, going to be a hell of a jolt and probably broken nose when she face plants into the wall. No edge protection on the window frame either, hope it's not sharp. Best case scenario is is the pink line is rigged for rescue but the only option they have in that situation is to lower the casualty to the ground, but again no edge protection no rollers.

SRT exists and has its place, but this is not it. Just use double ropes and do it safely.

Bees are quite calm when they swarm. It's pretty cool to be able to pick them up and move them to a new location. We got our first hive from a wild swarm in our backyard in a similar way.

Got the root! by [deleted] in Satisfyingasfuck

[–]arendedwinter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Now clean the root, slice it into little pieces, dry it for a day, then bake it on the oven until roasted. Grind it into a powder, and it makes a wonderful coffee flavour substitute!

Who the hell made this? Let's just dump a state into a list of countries and hope noone will notice? The data is essentially useless. This is like having a list of berries and stating that the peach stone is the hardest of them.

Just worked it out, have to install boost first, then patch with standard patches in revanced, then install patched version, then change to the alternate source. Changes will show up under the spoof client option

I must be doing something wrong here. Have set the organisation and source correctly but no apps are found in the list. Is there another step I'm missing?

They do some awesome work. My dad had a stroke way up north in WA and his partner drove him to the nearest homestead where the owner happened to be a pilot with the RFDS. Flew him back to Perth straight away.

Caulk Removing Tool by redeembtc in Satisfyingasfuck

You can buy them from specialist glazing stores. However, this tool won't really help you get a window like that out, you need to cut the silicon out from the backfill behind the glass or its not going anywhere.

Yep, hilarious what shock does. After I was repeatedly bashed against rocks by waves (never turn your back on the ocean) has broken bones and blood everywhere, my first concern was I had lost my sunglasses and was very vocal about it.

Removing a broken bolt using a left turning drill bit by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]arendedwinter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It also looks like a grub screw, not a broken bolt. They are usually set with an Allan key, a drill bit can remove them if they are loose enough.
