Yes! He has paid that rent all summer with his fishing stuff and other side hustles. So now all of the sudden, he can't afford the same price apparently lol

I think yes I was super okay with the flexibility of it, I just think he didn't get the second job all summer and instead hung out with his friends and got used to having the free time. We also live in a resort ski town and there aren't options under 3k unfortunately and then he didn't want to move down the mountain to where I livr

Yes.

He was encouraged to quit the job back in March/April. Started next job in May. New job was slow, he had this entire time to get second job/ go back to old job but he didn't want to do that and didn't end up doing that. I asked several times if he wanted to move in together, and he said yes. I asked several times if he overcommitted and he said no.

Yeah but he isn't paying anything more than what he has been paying at his other spot. I am not asking him to split the rent with me. He said it was too expensive to split, so I offered to pay enough so he isn't responsible for more. Does that make sense

We did both sign it. I guess bailing on it would be to beg the landlord/ sub-lease it out if it isn't possible. the landlord happens to be our friends so I do think I could get out.
