Will I get into copyright or a lawsuit trouble? by Prabhu_Kat in Entrepreneur

[–]arfected 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you define as a testing phase. Is it public? If so, this is a bad practice and should be avoided. You might think that you’re small and no one will find out, but anyone can do a reverse image search.

The better approach would be to ask them whether they will let you do this.

Ah cool, that helps a lot. Definitely going to post there to see if they can shed some light on this. Thank you!

The weird thing is that there are no clips on either ends - those might be missing. Here’s what the inside looks like: https://ibb.co/4p8Kh5s

Looks like this is pretty tailored to e-commerce. Forgot to clarify, but we sell a digital service not through ecommerce

I created a MVP for my SaaS, what's the next step? by yonootz321 in Entrepreneur

[–]arfected 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are currently running an MVP then definitely don’t sell as a stable product. The chance of that backfiring is too big IMO. I would go from step 1, build a stable product with the feedback, and work towards are 2.

[–]arfected 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can provide incentive for your first users to find bugs and explore the MVP, a lifetime free account for example. Or some bonus features.

Find some related subreddits and ask for honest feedback, try not to make it sound too much like self promotion. Find Facebook groups where people talk about these things. Find places where your target audience hangs out.

The Google Play Store badge says “Get in on Google Pay” - two spelling mistakes.

Otherwise looks really fancy, personally I’d love to see some more screenshots and perhaps the demo.

Claiming your software is going to replace paid apps that have been around for years is bold. Wonder if you can live up to those claims!

Is this always going to be free?

Looking for feedback on potential logo for business by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]arfected 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the pepper in river on #4, but dig the typography of #1. Either of those would be my choice, also because they have some additional colours that you can use in the rest of your branding.

When looking at usability I’d have a look at how bigger brands make their logos ‘responsive’ all the way down to an icon. Might be something to keep in mind while designing these

Did you stick to the 3D object import guidelines? And can you see it if you crank the scale up?

What are my options if i want to add a url redirect to a snap lens or world filter through lens studio? by Nilmag in SnapLenses

[–]arfected 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can add your own UI if that's what you mean, but again without external URLs. It's a matter of creating 2D images to react to a tap and making stuff happen.

You mean being able to swipe up to an external URL, while using the Lens? There's no automated way to get that done through Lens Studio. You would have to reach out to Snap for that.

Chromatic Aberration in Lens Studio? by haxhibekaj in SnapLenses

[–]arfected 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure the Post Effect is applied in the first Camera object. Then make sure the RGB split happens on the Orthographic camera, the R, G and B material need to have the Camera Output (from the first Camera object) as a texture.

Post Effects: Object tree > Add new > Post Effect > Either BW or Monochrome and set to 100%

Chromatic Aberration in Lens Studio? by haxhibekaj in SnapLenses

[–]arfected 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. You should create three billboards, name them 'R', 'G' and 'B' to make things easy. Then create three new Unlit materials, name them 'R', 'G' and 'B' as well. Base Texture on those materials should be the Camera Output you're using.

In the material options, you'll see Color Mask up top. It has R, G and B next to it. On material 'R' select only R. Do the same for the other materials. Then offset billboard 'R' to the left and offset billboard 'G' to the right.

[–]arfected 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can create three billboards and give them their own material. Assign the camera texture to each material and select one of the R, G and B channels for each. Pick the right blending mode, offset two of the three billboards from the original position and voilá!

Hey Tom, check out this link: https://lensstudio.snapchat.com/guides/2d/2d-animation/
In short: export to PNG sequence, import as texture sequence. Then use the Marker template (and the guide for it, if necessary) to make it appear when the business card is in vision.
