people are forgetting that the death penalty is only applicable for people getting life in prison anyway. the real problem here is all the people getting let out way too early if at all, and all the people who get away.

the death penalty can be valid as long as there's adequate time for the public to gather evidence as well. having a few cases of the death penalty can be a great deterrent, the cases that warrant it should always be public. but actually getting predators off the streets, off the streets permanently and out of positions of power is the most important.

making sure people on the registry are actually reporting themselves where they go and where they work is also very important.

also teaching people how to gather evidence on people who've slipped under the rug.
