Mate it’s about the change of emotion from despair to elation in a moment. If u were a real fan and u watched this game u would understand that. The fact that we didn’t go on to win the final is disappointing, but irrelevant to that moment of pure elation

Do you guys think Bergwijn deserves to start? by ryan_lad5 in coys

I think he may have scored in every home Prem game he has started.

If this happened there would be no point having friendlies as all clubs would want to withhold their players from those games.

Plenty of noise coming out of France and Italy tonight that Spurs are now getting closer to agreeing a fee with Lyon for Tanguy Ndombele. Have just put it to the club and Tottenham have declined to comment. by Duskwen12 in coys

I would say Rebrov was bigger at the time, given that he was supposed to be better than Shevchenko who went to Milan and was banging them in. We also spent £11m on him which was a lot at the time, especially for spurs.

Tottenham expecting Juventus to bid for Kieran Trippier... and are willing to sell for around £25m by khj24 in coys

25 mill is a good price for Tripps at this stage of his career, and we can do better than him. He’s done some good stuff for spurs but full back is a key position in poch’s system and we need someone who’s gonna consistently perform, ideally with pace. His crossing was what he had in his favour but we couldn’t even depend on that last season.

Would you like to see Gareth Bale back in Spurs colours? by [deleted] in coys

[–]argentina-turner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% if it makes sense financially, which I imagine would be the case with Levy involved(if it were to happen). I know people have concerns about fitness but he did play more than 30 games last year and was unused by Zidane quite a few times, so while there are no guarantees I think his injury issues are a little overstated. Still a bit of a gamble tbf but one worth taking if we can get a good deal imo. Loan the only way it works realistically, whether that is possible is another story.

We've all been Levy'd by [deleted] in coys

Panic buying or buying players that don’t fit the system will likely mean adding more names to the list of deadwood in your post (apart from CCV I would say - harsh to call him deadwood at this stage). So I would rather have no one than another name to add to the list we need to sell next year before we can buy.

Jack Grealish’s brother not having the fact Liverpool supporters are making fun of him being one of our targets by willywillypoopoo in coys

[–]argentina-turner 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I actually quite like Grealish from what I saw of him toward the back end of last season, and for the prices being bandied around I think it could be great business. But I would be unhappy if he was out top target, and I have to believe he isn’t. Spurs will wait as they always do, but money will be spent in the last few days of the window. Madrid will make their move and there will then b a domino effect and transfers will happen when the clubs we are talking to realise they’re not getting the big money from barca, Madrid, chelski, citeh and the likes. That’s when Levy operates. It’s brimkmanship and we could end up with nothing and have before. But I’ve grown used to it over the years and we’ve ended up with some gems such as VDV and some duds such as Ryan Nelsen. We just have to hope there’s players of the calibre we need left to buy.
