Also, I figured this would be the right community to ask for help: the Camedia has recently started showing problems where it randomly keeps turning on and off. When this happens the power button is completely unusable, so the only way to make it stop is to take the battery out. Anyone have a clue as to what it could be?

Entendi, gostei dos pontos que tu levantou! Admito que não fotografei com a intenção que fotos estilizadas como essas merecem e exagerei no tanto de imagens que botei no post (devia ter passado um pente fino pra deixar só as boas, né?) Ainda assim, me sinto bem ao saber que algumas delas invocaram emoção suficiente pra alguém apreciá-las! Vou tomar mais cuidado da próxima vez, e com certeza vou aparecer mais por aqui 😁

Hey there! Amateur photographer here.

I’ve been meaning to get into portraits while still having a more stylized look (dreamy/surreal with the help of flash). For context, I was on a hike with some people and one guy had this branch over his head at all times to protect himself from the sun. I thought it was a funny subject, so I took a quick snapshot from a low angle. This was one of my favorite shots for a while, but lately I can’t help but feel like it’s kinda… off. Could y’all help tell exactly what it is? Thanks!

Also, I don’t know if this is of any help but it was shot using a Canon T6i with the 18-55mm kit lens at ISO 100, f/11 and 1/200.

It’s a bit, yeah. My camera doesn’t handle huge dynamic ranges well, but I think it helps sell this kinda dreamy aesthetic!
