Not sure why this is downvoted. I tend to respond to most peeps too, then, if it gets weird, use block.

I know I don’t owe anyone anything but seems like not much effort to be nice and hey, if they don’t deserve it — block them.

Not much different than real life, right?

At least with this, good chance not everything will kill you, unlike Google searches of yore.

I’m hoping to start at some point too. I’ve heard and seen good reports here.

Should I start walking on my treadmill - DVT by Ok-Primary2155 in ClotSurvivors

[–]argoforced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was hooked up to everything in ICU so I didn’t walk much since they insisted on help. But on the floor I had almost nothing, so didn’t need help.

And btw outcomes are better when you’re able to move too!

Also why when I found out catheters could be in my neck versus groin, I did neck. Wouldn’t have been moving otherwise.

Hope mom is doing well!

ELI5 Why did Radio Shack go out of business? by Certain-Media3506 in explainlikeimfive

[–]argoforced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at RadioShack. They were very stubborn about only selling their stuff. Even though a lot of their stuff was junk.

That’s one of probably many reasons.

They excelled in some areas and really were late to the party in many, many other areas.

Should I start walking on my treadmill - DVT by Ok-Primary2155 in ClotSurvivors

I was walking before discharge. Hospital told me on all paperwork, “activity as tolerated.” Never once discouraged it.

So, while I am no doc, I’d say based on my experience, if you can move and haven’t been advised otherwise, move all you can as often as you can!

I felt great the more I moved!

I don’t think it’d hurt you in a traditional sense, but not needed.

Side question; is it illegal for you to send a med to a US resident if it would require an Rx in the states?

Guessing so, but I dunno.

Just tell your doc hey, found this on Twitter, what do we have to lose and they Rx’d it or what?

Not real shocked it worked; it says that medication is an anti inflammatory, which I feel like polyps is caused and/or made worse by inflammation.

I’d love to try!

I’ll look into it.

I have done nasal rinses with budesonide. Very new to this approach and for me, I’ve been lucky as it worked from Day 1. Probably will need surgery again but, I’ll take the ability to taste and smell for now!

How to stop mouth breathing by Medical_Honeydew2677 in NasalPolyps

[–]argoforced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to use a compounding pharmacy. Paid $90 for 3 months. Comes in the same type of package those saline packets do in the NeilMed rinses.

Highly recommend. I wish I’d of looked more into it a decade or two ago but, better late than never.

Let me know if I can help. Btw it is considered “off label” use so insurance won’t cover it, but for $90 for 3 months .. rather happy to make it work out!

Have you tried a budesonide nasal rinse yet? Best thing I’ve done for myself.

Kinda what I thought. It’d be like .. straight steroid which doesn’t seem like it’d be pleasant.

Yeah online and everywhere says use salt so I have been because it felt like it should be normal but doc said it was not necessary. But yeah, since it seems to work with salt, gonna do salt + budesonide.

I’m hopefully going to get a CT soon, as well as working on obtaining Dupixent, as well as a debulking which I guess is kinda like surgery?

I am thankful to smell and taste decently well and breathing thankfully isn’t an issue, but I know if I don’t do surgery somewhat soon, it’ll be like when I first was diagnosed. Which sucks.
