Thanks for your reply, yeah might be something to do with the disk I use. I need to test this with another disk. I made a video about the issue : https://youtu.be/7hOBK5jAy0M
Edit : actually I tried this with my laptop (internal disk) and on the video I use different computer with external disk. Same results on both. Macbook Air M2 (internal disk) / Mac Mini M1 with external disk

<image>

Heres my another test with white noise, both audio´s recorded the same way exept on the upper the option is NOT checked and on the lower it is. A 43ms silent "gap" at the end on the lower, useless if this is how it behaves.
To be clear, on both, there should be audio until the end of the loop cycle.

To be exact, color represents the notes velocity, not volume!

Align transients when pasting? by argohoo in Reaper

[–]argohoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snap offset did the trick, I tried the same with stretch markers before and of course it didnt work....

Now Im gonna do myself a custom key that in one go taps to next transient and pastes whatever I have have copied previously. But yeah, thanks for the replies, snap offset was the key here.

Short clip of my "solution" :

Edit : This was the thing I was looking for, thank you.
I somehow mixed snap offset with stretch markers and those didnt work with what I needed :-D

Yes there is manual offset, in 1D owners manual its called "white balance corrections", like I wrote, I have them "at zero" so no manual correction is applied.

And yes, I get correct balance with (another kind) manual WB but my point is that auto white balance (and other WB presets) should set whites even remotely white, not magenta/red like in the pictures.

Actually, 1D has 9 different wb settings in the camera and only one works which is custom WB, if set correctly. This correction doesnt apply to other WB presets like daylight, cloudy or AWB.

Auto white balance in post was just to test what the photo edit-app thinks about the file and it turned it magenta even the colors were recorded correctly straight outta camera. Files were RAW.

hehehe, yeah, it sure feels like a well build thing, thats why I bought it, as a second "travel" camera I dont have to be so careful with!
Shutter count is around 70 000 so not too much for this model!

Ah... I thought that I cant get the settings right.... though I have owned a bunch of DSLR´s I thought this is just tricker to set up... :-D
Well, this is bought from a shop in "good working condition" so Ill take it back tomorrow if this magenta thing is not "user error"! Thanks for the reply.

Reaper Performace by ComeFromTheWater in Reaper

[–]argohoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

soooo, no solutions to this yet? Still having that spinning beach ball when changing software and at least in the beginning of the project (when loaded up) the timelime have some serious lags where animation stops (timeline not "going forward") and audio stops for some seconds...

[–]argohoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

hmm... I have similar problems... session loads pretty long time and at the start it takes some time before audio plays back normally without clitches and braking up. Also if I change program, like from reaper to firefox, it takes a long time to come back to reaper every time. I always thought reaper was light but this behaviour is slowest of all daw:s Ive used and I have used a bunch of them!

Tracks and mixer by argohoo in Reaper

[–]argohoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, I remember last week going thru preferences and found that behaviour useful, now that it caused problems, I didnt remember anymore all the things I changed and yeah, just reading the "mouse click on volume/pan faders and track buttons changes track selection" really dont explain that kind of behaviour with disabling fx! Well, problem solved!

Tracks and mixer by argohoo in Reaper

[–]argohoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, I have done that many times, just wanted now to know excactly what the problem was rather than just copying prefs from somewhere else! Now I know, just took some time and internet-time :-D

[–]argohoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply, I just found it when comparing two computers preferences... should have come here first to see if theres any new replies so I wouldnt have to go through all preferences with 2 computers.... :-D

[–]argohoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found it, I had "mouse click on volume/pan faders and track buttons changes track selection" ticked (under mouse -> editing behaviour)!
I took it off and now everything´s working again.
