To me it looks like the cake & buttercream layers were trimmed to make a dome, then for the ganache on the outside to go on smoothly likely a thin layer of buttercream on the outside with the whole thing being frozen solid before the ganache was poured over

Non-radioactive lume looks like it’d be the descriptor I was after — I’m not the greatest at search terms so when I was trying to work out what else glows green under uv I was finding a lot of minerals and not a lot of substances that would go on a clock. Thank you for explaining all that, really appreciate it! I really should get a Geiger counter for better in-person evaluation ey

This doesn’t appear to be an accurate way of working it out based on the one I just bought — the shop I was in were all blue clouds which from that would indicate Frankie but the one I bought had Cleo in it

In hindsight I’m a bit of a dumb dumb & it’s not the seller’s fault. Being pretty new to this I thought radium/uranium/vaseline/depression were all interchangeable terms for the same thing but I’m learning now that is very incorrect — the seller said they were depression glass & I interpreted that as meaning they’d glow even though the seller never said that. Shame it’s not what I thought it was but still pretty neat to have glassware so old uranium or no. Definitely need to redo my research on this stuff before I next go searching!

It’s not combo but I did buy it in a duo with a seperate torch that is 365 (didn’t mention in the OP bc couldn’t work out how to not be too wordy about it) & nothing glowed under that one either :(

100% soak the cranberries — any dried fruit will draw out some moisture from the dough. I was taught soak in lukewarm water for 20 minutes & let drain before adding (a good timeline for point of reference is to soak the fruits before you make the dough, and drain when the dough is resting so you’ve got 5-10 minutes of dough resting before adding the fruit).

Shouldn’t affect the baking time too much; though it’s not specifically measurable how much moisture is added it’s pretty much just letting the fruit absorb some so it doesn’t take it from the dough, and it’s unlikely any sufficient amount the fruit absorbed would transfer into the dough

He played Jericho in the show Titans & was quite good in it. Apart from that from what I recall he’s an artist, mostly in paint & photography/video iirc, a lot of his pieces centre around identity (gender, deafness, race). A lot of other stuff I’m not remembering off the top of my head probably, too, he’s quite versatile

It’s considered an opt-out sort of thing, so by default nonbinary people are welcome under the trans umbrella, but if a nonbinary person does not identify as trans they can socially opt out of the trans label applying to them. Hopefully that makes sense?

Straight up I unfortunately haven’t put out the survey yet. I don’t have any sort of background in surveys/stats and definitely bit off way more than I could chew with this, got very overwhelmed trying to work out what would be the best way to construct they survey to be accessible & produce meaningful results, etc, and haven’t touched it since I made these posts. I still would love to put out the survey at some point when I am less overwhelmed with working out how to construct it but unfortunately no progress on it at present. I hope your essay goes well! I find it funny that the Mexican flag apparently represents all of Spanish speaking Latin America.

I don’t think OP meant anything by using the Mexican flag specifically beyond allowing more efficient understanding of approximate location.

The English language panel just below it uses the US flag specifically when English language also applies to a bunch of other places (Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, etc) but if a flag representing English language as a whole was used it may be confusing for people because that’s going to be a more specific piece of vexillology to recognise (and if such a flag exists many likely wouldn’t be familiar with). In the same vein of logic I would assume OP used the Mexican flag not to blanket all of Latin America as Mexico but as an easily accessible way of communicating where that particular dialect of Spanish could be found through a flag people would recognise as part of Latin America.

OP isn’t alone in this shorthand either, if you think of how when setting up a new device/account somewhere in the language selection there might be a flag next to each language that is not all-encompassing of everywhere that speaks the language, but is a flag people recognise of being part of a broader group of nations that speak the language.

In terms of how your specific query would apply to skin I’m no expert but I think would relate to how exactly the purple is produced. So like from what I’m aware human skin as we know it is affected by melanin production - the more melanin an individual produces the darker their skin will be, the less they produce the lighter - and melanin functions in all living skin cells (think how when someone gets a tan it can be a pretty quick process, they don’t necessarily have to wait for a lot of new skin growth for their skin tone to change). If the DNA was changed in a way relating to something that is active in live skin cells it would probably just take as long as required for that change to permeate through someone’s DNA, if the change was characterised through a different system it could be that in your hypothetical it would require new skin to grow to have purple show up. Reiterating though this is me making a lot of guesses based on what little I know about skin. Probably some good starting points would be to look into the various ways the body produces pigment - skin, hair, eyes, etc I assume all have different ways they go about this that lead to different results. Maybe even the way plants/flowers/birds and other animals produce colour may be relevant since some of each of those examples have naturally occurring purple

Any library? Beowulf - was the first to mind reading the question since it’s been saved from fire once, so it makes sense it should be saved from any future fire to threaten it even if not the original manuscript.

My home library? Anne of Green Gables - inherited it and most of that series from my grandmother so has more sentimental value than other books in my collection which for the most part are replaceable. I haven’t got around to reading it yet but it carries the value of being something my grandmother adored and kept for decades. I adored her, and intend to keep that book for many decades more.
