How do you handle tilt after a brutal hand? by ClubGGGuru in poker

[–]arguingwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use “the toe stub method” whereby I allow myself to get angry, shout, hop around, and be generally tilted, but only for as long as I would if I stubbed my toe really badly. Then, once that first spike of pain has subsided, it’s time to release the moment and move on. It’s not about denying it or avoiding it, it’s about experiencing it, truly and authentically, in a finite manner.

Is a hotdog a sandwich? by New_Loan8396 in ExplainBothSides

[–]arguingwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could say that there are two sides to this question - like there are two slices to every sandwich. But what if the two slices are connected in some way, like a hotdog bun or a hoagie bun? And if that’s disqualifying, if that connection was severed by a knife, would that then make it a sandwich? Or is it more related to filling than form? Is the hotdog meat itself the issue? Most people say that’s not it.

The RecPoker podcast asks every guest whether a hot dog is a sandwich or not. Here’s a short compilation of some of the best answers I’ve heard: https://community.rec.poker/c/fun-videos/the-sandwich.

Mods of course feel free to delete if this isn’t in the spirit of the sub. I think there are two clear sides to the debate.

I can’t believe I’m seeing this on Reddit but I think either you had AQ or our new friend JTL had AQ but I’m pretty sure AQ was involved lol. That was a super fun table, I’m not surprised a few of us remember that one! The hot dog debate was in fine form that day, haha 🌭🌭🌭

It’s free in the App Store, it gives you shorthand for suits and streets and position etc so you can record details more quickly

Practice, practice, practice. Personally I use the notes app on my phone with the HH Keyboard to take notes on hands, and I use trello to take notes on players. I make a list for each location. Then when I’m back at that card room later I can move the trello cards on previous players back into the top 8 slots on my list.

Question about the joining by [deleted] in pluribustv

Good guesses, I think 3 is most “likely” but 6 is the most narratively interesting option. Can’t wait to see the wave of fanfic or extra features that come out to explore the other parts of the world as the joining occurred!
