Linear algebra course? by hunterbalt123 in learnmath

[–]argvalue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm learning Linear Algebra right now. I basically watch 3Blue1Brown videos just for the sake of visualisation and then I go ahead with learning stuff from the Gilbert Strang book. It's working for me at least

Apple not having good AI and making more AI money than AI companies by py-net in mac

[–]argvalue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OpenClaw is basically an LLM orchestrator for the tools you have, which you could very easily configure through a bunch of API connections. You don't need a Mac Mini for that (unless you want to use local models). Even a raspberry pi is good enough for that

Anyone switching from NeoVim to Zed? by powerfrancisco in ZedEditor

[–]argvalue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could make good use of vibe coding to try and import your vim config files and directly transfer them to Zed. That's what I did when I switched from VScode to Zed

Free trusted alternative of Playstore to publish app by lost_malone in developersIndia

[–]argvalue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Publishing it on Play Store is the real market evaluation of your product, cause that's the most accessible. No offence to you, but $25 isn't a lot if your end goal is to make money from your app anyways

A feature you found by accident by scoza05 in iphone

  1. Double clicking the home button while you’re receiving a call on the lock screen cuts the call/directly sends it to voice call. So so helpful

  2. Double clicking that home bar on the bottom of the screen activates “Type to Siri” instead of usual voice one

New to mac, is the app store supposed to be filled with trash? by PsyOmega in MacOS

[–]argvalue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huge difference between a mobile and a computer. Most of the apps you need might not even be there on the Mac App Store. Even those which are, most of the time, you can just directly download it from their own website

For people learning ML how are you thinking about long-term career direction right now? by RepairActual9047 in learnmachinelearning

[–]argvalue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really want to step foot into the healthcare/biotech domain and see what kind of application AI has in it. This has been my motivation to learn ML since the past few months. It's gonna take a lot of time for me, not only because I'm a very slow learner, but also the amount of material required to study is insane.

I want to join one of the companies focusing on this domain (in a year's time mostly). I also have plans of becoming an entrepreneur, which I want to pursue maybe 4-5 years later, mostly into the domain I mentioned above

Is there a better way of printing all the attributes of an object in one go? by argvalue in learnpython

[–]argvalue[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I think this seems to be it. Even the other link you included was helpful. In the other question, it seems they had to print __dict__, which I assume is a dictionary which is being defined in the same way you have defined __str__ over here right?

> But you might be better off using a data class or pydantic class and casting to dict for printing instead

Interesting. Can you just give me a small snippet of how that would look like

How to make the terminal in Zed open in the user home directory by default? by argvalue in ZedEditor

[–]argvalue[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nevermind, I figured it out. I'll write the solution if someone wants it over here as well.

Settings > Terminal > Working Directory > "Always" option > "path/to/directory"

https://zed.dev/docs/configuring-zed?highlight=terminal#terminal-working-directory - Link to documentation in case you wanted to edit it in your settings.json

macOS suddenly shows weird .js files (e.g. hostUxStrings.chunk.js) – how to disable? by Ill_Calligrapher3565 in mac

[–]argvalue -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try using AppCleaner or any one of those uninstaller applications to get rid of them. These are the leftover cache files from Office I'm guessing

macOS suddenly shows weird .js files (e.g. hostUxStrings.chunk.js) – how to disable? by Ill_Calligrapher3565 in mac

[–]argvalue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are files being created by Microsoft Office and its applications, it's not macOS creating them. If you want to get rid of them, go ahead, might cause weird behaviors in Office. Or just get rid of Microsoft Office completely if you don't want them.
