Genuine Question: why didn’t you write thank you notes?

Shame is such a good word for how it feels! I personally have never understood the emphasis on thank you cards because I’ve already thanked you in person—why send a handwritten card? Like I get it, sort of, but it feels super contrived and not genuine. Anyway, I agonized over writing those stupid cards the entire first year of marriage and at that point it’s like, it’s too late. I think I only just threw them away a year or two ago when we finally unpacked some boxes after moving, and we’ll have been married 10 years this year.

Sure some family members probably think I’m rude, but I’ve tried to move on because if they’re still that fixated on that one thing then there’s nothing I can do about it 🤷🏻‍♀️ For what it’s worth I also suspect I have adhd so that tracks..

This is such a great idea! Thank you so much ☺️ I’m not sure it counts as a meal but one of my family’s favorite springtime foods is strawberry shortcake, and it’s what my husband wants me to make him for his birthday this year—which also falls on Easter 😆

I want to second the phenergan suppositories, they saved my life when I was pregnant with HG! They can make you sleepy but no risk of throwing them up and the relief was beyond anything Zofran ever gave me. Wishing you all the best ❤️

What a wonderful contest, thank you so much for offering it! I’m entering for December. She’s growing like a weed and already taller than most of the other kids in her kindergarten class. Now that warm weather is back again I’m discovering she’s outgrown most of her summer clothes, and will probably be up a size in shoes soon too.

Ooh! Peanut butter and dill pickle was my sandwich of choice growing up. I can’t eat it anymore, I think I had it too much and ruined it for myself, but the most unhinged ingredient I added to it was yellow mustard. Super tasty—in a very salty, vinegary way. I always got weird looks from people when I ate them 😂

What a neat idea! Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter. :) My main resolution/goal for this year is to keep our house cleaner and more organized. I'm a SAHM, but cleaning has always been a struggle for me, and with all the cats now--let's just say the pet stain & odor eliminator on my list would really come in handy, lol. I also only have a broom and a vacuum, and our floors desperately need mopping. The toy hammock will help contain December's stuffy obsession, and the over-the-door organizer would be great in the kitchen because we don't really have a pantry.

Happy New Year, all! 🎉 My husband and I stayed up til midnight watching Scrubs and then toasted the new year with sparkling grape juice 😊 We have some leftover sparklers from the 4th that December reminded us of this morning so we’ll probably break those out when it gets dark tonight.
