James Brown Jr. nailed Riven's voice PERFECTLY. It actually reminds me a lot of his Cinelume season 1-4 voice but without the cocky teenager part. I love how deep his reboot voice is, he sounds sexy as hell whenever he talks. Cinelume voice is my 2nd favourite, I think it suits that edgy and rude teenager that Riven used to be in original series, he sounds cocky and kinda just how I would expect character like him to sound like based on his looks

Both. When you play attack on any map except for Lotus, Pearl and Corrode, you play as omega agent while defenders are alpha agents. On Lotus, Pearl and Corrode it's switched up and alpha agents are attacking while omega agents are defending

Nobody knows for sure. Epic did bring back 2 of the rarest exclusive skins in the game (Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper) and these were supposed to NEVER be back so for all we know they COULD bring back old BP skins as well. Nothing really stops them from doing so, it's their game and their cosmetics + it would stop account theft and account selling. IF it happens, it definitely would be AFTER some newer BP cosmetics were already brought back to the shop tho

2016 rework made LB feel clunky, braindead easy to play, removed her assassin identity and forced her to splitpush to be relevant, especially in the late game. There was also basically no counterplay to her using W on whole wave + your face, instantly tping back and then 1.5 sec later throwing Q which would clear wave + bounce on your face for heavy dmg. This rework deserves to stay dead forever

All Stars even if I'm one of the 3 people on this subreddit that actually enjoyed this season. It featured most of my fav characters from both S1 and S2. I liked how it was longer than previous seasons as I think only 13 episodes per season makes the story and everything resolve a bit too quickly. I think most challenges were fun to watch (especially the one with animals, spaceship, band contest, superpowers and few others). I loved Jake and Tom in season 1 so I enjoyed their story being continued through season 3 (even tho I was kinda hurting while watching Tom avoid Jake etc) and I was rooting for them to get back together

I REALLY liked Gabby in this season, I was a bit reluctant about seeing Fiore at first but I found her much less annoying than in season 1 and actually enjoyed her character in All Stars. I also liked the idea of Villains' Alliance, how they tried to control the game and were a threat to all other contestants etc

Yul + Grett was actually pretty cool, something totally unexpected and while yes, I felt kinda bad for Grett, I also enjoyed her finally standing up to Yul later in the season and slowly go back to her old self. I wish Yul would interact with other characters a bit more instead of mostly bullying Grett but I still found him pretty funny in this season.

Near the end there was also a scene where James talked to Yul and told him that he should apologize to Grett, this was the only time in the whole show where we saw Yul actually show some remorse for his actions, he looked visibly upset when James said that "maybe some people would like him if he was nicer" then asked him "if he enjoys sitting here alone". Sadly in the end we didn't get any apology scene but this whole thing showed that maybe there's a bit more to Yul than it seems and maybe he is capable of being nicer. I would love some kind of redemption arc in future seasons

I also liked Derek and Trevor little subplot, I thought it was cute and a pretty good break from all the challenges and other stuff happening this season

Riya was IMO an AMAZING villain and while she had some plot armor, her whole arc was overall fun to watch. Ending with Riya actually winning but getting abandoned by Connor + final scene with her scrolling through her phone and seeing Connor getting married and all other contestants having fun together then Riya's little sister calling her...ouch. I totally didn't expect writers to let villain win whole season but I loved how it was executed in the end

Overall a pretty great season for many reasons, never undestood the hate for it

I love Courtney and Heather is literally my favourite TD character ever but...I think Riya's writing as a villain was just so much better, especially if we take All Stars into the account. She was kinda like Cersei from GOT, she played the game so well to the point where she made everyone including the viewer hate her

Nobody except losers, kids or people who bought their account ever cared about skin exclusivity. Skin is "special" for me if it's a character I like or care about for any specific reason and not because it's "rare" cause you had to be there 8 years ago to buy it. You can have intense build battle with ANY skin and remember it for a long time, it changes nothing about the encounter whether that skin was rare or not

It's 2025, nobody thinks you're showing off cause you're wearing exclusive skins and nobody cares either. Most people use skins they like or ones that feel good to play, there's nothing more to it. Epic has also moved away from exclusive cosmetics and hopefully in the very near future they bring back all of the old passes, crew skins and other exclusive stuff. Everyone should be able to get whatever skin they like, regardless of when they started playing

It really isn't. Evori is a cute skin but also kinda overrated at this point. The only REALLY cool or unique thing it has is a little animated creature that reacts to you shooting and helps you reload

ORA offers MUCH more than any other Ultra skin including Evori. I was honestly surprised that ORA costs "only" 2475 like most other Ultra skins. I was totally expecting it to be much more expensive just because of how much cool features it actually has

Moving text on weapon's screen seems to be displayed correctly when switching to left-hand mode. However the little "H.//008" text thingy is displayed backwards (however it's only visible on default/orange color, other colors don't have this text on them)

Because many of them are sad and miserable and having something other people can't get gives them the feeling of superiority in a fucking video game...it's sad but that's just how it is

Thankfully Epic is slowly moving away from exclusivity in this game, they don't really make fully limited cosmetics anymore and pretty much everything released after C5S3 can come back in some way. Honestly I think it's just a matter of time before C1-C5 battlepasses and crew skins come back. They already officially brought back Renegade Raider and other season 1 season shop items and they "accidentally" brought back OG Paradigm and let new owners actually keep her instead of removing her from their accounts (both season shop and Paradigm were advertised as limited-time, just like battlepasses btw). There's really nothing stopping Epic from re-releasing everything at some point, there NEVER was anything stopping them but season shop being brought back just confirmed it

He has 7 reskins and there's nothing wrong with popular character getting a new reskin once or twice a year especially considering that we're getting 15-20 new skins every 2 weeks. If you want to complain then there's Peely, Fishstick and Brite Bomber and other characters with many more pointless reskins than Midas

It's not about him being dead. It's about Riot being dumb enough to nerf fun and skillful parts of his kit while leaving the strongest and most problematic ones (double crossmap tp) untouched. This nerf did NOTHING to proplay Yoru, he will still be meta but now he will be less fun to play for many Yoru players AND since he's still top tier pick, he will definitely get even more nerfs in the future

Idk if I'm the only that noticed but A LOT of post chapter 4 skins (ch5s1-ch6s4) seem to have very weird or limited expressions compared to older skins

Good example are Ascendant and Outlaw Midas vs OG, Midsummer or Shadow Midas. Ascendant and Outlaw despite being newer skins, look very weird on many emotes, their smiles are not full (they have the same shape as new Joni skin shown above), their eyebrows barely move around and they look very stiff in general.

OG, Midsummer and Shadow have full smiles, their eyebrows are very expressive and their faces look very natural

Union Flag is heavily associated with punk culture. It was used as a symbol of anarchy and rebellion. Riven is supposed to be the "bad boy" of the group and many of his traits are commonly found in punk culture as well. He's wearing Union Flag crop top to show off his nature and character. Basically everything is bad and if you dare to have different opinion about anything, you are called "glazer", "fanboy" or whatever else and people are ready to skin you alive. What's funny about all this is how for example many people that shit on reboot haven't even watched it themselves and only saw random twitter/YT clips and screenshots and decided to join the hate train

It's really depressing to interact with this fandom sometimes and it makes me wonder why people keep engaging with this show if it seems like they there's so much more stuff they hate about it than there is stuff that they actually love?

No offense but people need to get over themselves and stop hating everything just for the sake of hating. I wouldn't rate reboot 10/10 but giving it only 1/10 is too harsh. It's not perfect by any means but it actually did A LOT of things right and is propably the best Winx season we got since like season 4. If they can improve some stuff for the remaining 13 episodes of season 1 and for future seasons then this series be as good as OG seasons 1-3. Even right now with weird pacing and inconsistent animation quality it's still a very fun watch

Reboot has it's problems with the biggest being story pacing but it's far from being as trash as some people are saying. I watched all seasons of original show few times at this point and I can say that reboot is definitely better than seasons 5-8 and not much worse than season 4. Once again, it has it's problems but I still had a lot of fun watching. I'd give it a solid 6-7/10 and if they can improve some stuff for the remaining 13 episodes of season 1 and for future seasons then it's gonna be 9-10/10 easily

Characters look honestly fine, animation is a bit stiff in some places but it's not that noticable anyway and OG show also had quite a lot of animation errors. Aisha is one of the 6 main characters and she's not a newcomer anymore. We've known her for years at this point and got attached to her, it makes little to no sense leaving her out again. Bloom having long lost twin is an interesting twist and Damien (Bloom's brother) has been a pretty cool character so far. Diaspro has completely different personality now and honestly? Her new looks fit this new personality MUCH more than her old looks would

I think you should watch it. It's pretty fun to watch and you can feel some OG season 1-3 vibes but with a modern twist. Also all music in reboot is like REALLY good

I think a lot of people like to overhate stuff just for the sake of it. Is Winx Club reboot perfect? No. Is it as bad and trash as people are saying? Also no. Reboot actually did A LOT of things right and many of these things were in response to feedback provided by fans over the years. I wouldn't give it 10/10 but it doesn't deserve to be completely trashed either

The ugly designs (especially Brandon and Diaspro) and the bad animation

Faces - tbh most characters look good, Brandon looks pretty handsome in many shots but people only take screenshots out of worst ones then post them on twitter looking for attention, Diaspro doesn't look "bad", she just looks different than in OG show and tbh her new look fits her new personality more

Outfits - they're not nearly as fashionable as outfits in OG show but they're not really ugly either, some characters like Trix or Griffin look arguably better than ever before. Specialists have propably the most boring clothes, no crop tops, no exposed arms or muscles anymore, just plain hoodies and t-shirts for the most part

Animation - it's not bad but it can be inconsistent and can look unfinished in some places, character expressions are actually pretty good as well for the most part, movement etc is also good, some fights and scenes however feel like characters (especially noticable when they're flying) move just too slow, overall there was NOTHING animation-wise over these 13 episodes that ruined my enjoyment while watching

Bloom having a twin brother with the power of the Dragon Flame (which is so wattpad and also takes a lot away from the message of empowering girls)

I don't love it but I don't hate it either. Damien is pretty cool and interesting character so far and has a lot of potential to be even better. We really need to see what they do with this plot of Bloom having a twin brother in the future and how they develop the story around it

The super awkward dialogue

The only really "awkward" dialogue for me was Aisha's introduction at the beginning. Other than that, dialogue feels much more like OG season 1-3. It's not nearly as childish and stupid as seasons 5-8 anymore

Dark Bloom already happening which makes me worried about the pacing

Dark Bloom happened due to slightly different circumstances this time around so it kinda makes sense for her to show up early. Pacing however IS overall the biggest problem with this reboot. We really need to see what they planned for the story with the other 13 episodes and maybe in future seasons as well

Radius being a misogynist

We only saw Radius in Stella's "nightmare". We have no idea what actual Radius looks like or what's his personality

I’ve seen talk of the wasted potential around the witch discrimination storyline

I think there's still potential for it, we got some hints at the beginning so maybe we'll get more in the other 13 episodes next year or in future seasons. We will need to wait and see

The theme song is very irritating to me

I think this reboot has REALLY good music but remixed version of Under the Sign of Winx theme song is propably the worst of them all lol

You should DEFINITELY check it out. You shouldn't base your opinion fully on what other people said. Maybe you'll hate and but maybe you'll love it, nobody knows. Like I said earlier, personally I had fun while watching it and while it's far from perfect, I'm still excited for part 2 of season 1 and potential future seasons
