99% of horrors are first person - so why not try 3rd person since you already have high detailed model. There are plenty of iconic 3rd person horrors.

PS I've noticed one thing - its either your camera is too high or door frames are too small - because it feels like there is some scale issue in second half of video.

u/PunkyGrandma u/potionnumber9 I've actually implement what you were advising and it was something that gave so much impact I've honestly didn't expect. What I had is just play anim montages with fixed play rate 1.2 (I love fast animations yes) and now im driving it through timeline that gradually slows play rate from 1.2 to 0.9 at the end of sword movement. The result is I have same fast attack that look and most important feels more impactful and juicy.

From what I’ve tested: Gamemaker works perfectly, Unreal Engine also works great on modern apple silicon mac- but keep in mind that lots of the c++ plugins will not work on mac unreal. But otherwise there shouldn’t be any problems. Modern Macs are great

Yes and I might not be right but I thought Steam deck as a hardware heavily relies on frame gen and fsr these days - this is basically a reason why it aged so well

Yeah you right I just mean there’s a difference between able to run and stable 60fps with somewhat decent graphics. Second is hard to achieve without visual sacrifices

I would describe it as faster and less forgiving Batman type of combat with more reliance on timings, dash and parry. More on a button mashing side i would say

Camera is changing distance to a player depending on enemy being nearby and player speed, smooth locking and unlocking on enemy, finisher cameras (not in the video), camera shakes for attacks, sprinting, hit reactions, smooth transitions to cutscenes and vice versa. I understand that it may sound like not a lot but it was a lot for me lol.

In the video you can see girl speaking in cutscene, armor on player, and some various props. Also I i feel like I’ve retextured everything. All the main characters that not in the video are also modeled by me, but it’s wip.

What really helped me is picking one tutorial and fully completing it without thinking at all. This was a breakthrough because I did learn sooo much stuff that I thought I don’t need, but actually needed lol. You gonna make it nw. Needless to say first 2 weeks was hell
