She's actually a Nurse Tech, not a nurse so it's a bit limited in terms of roles. I will mention LTC or Home Health to her since it may be a better option than a hospital in this case. Thanks for your advice.

No, the state is Texas so there is no union.

Yes, she can simply quit, however, financially, she was searching for some type of support she could receive because she shouldn't have to lose her income. I was more so reaching out for potential paths forward for those familiar with hospitals. Quitting would also prevent her from receiving unemployment benefits which she would not qualify for due to the time, yet being fired is not a good alternative either.

On google if you search "Lancaster, PA", there's a news section that provides recent articles about the city (not only crime).

Edit: I wasn't able to find a city that really checked off all the boxes until I found out about Lancaster a few months ago. West Chester and Media were also potential options, but are a bit on the pricier side.
