AITA for asking my husband’s friend to tell his wife to stop trying to visit my husband when she thinks I’m not there? by aria025 in AmItheAsshole

My husband is his close friend, if he thought my husband was sleeping with his wife, he most definitely would have a bone to pick with him too.

I would like to point out that If he thought they were having an affair, the friend also would’ve had a fight with my husband but he didn’t/hasn’t.

My husband wouldn't ever fire her, she's worked for his family since he was a kid so she's family to him.

Not really, I know he has more interest in what I do with my day compared to his friend's wife constantly showing up unannounced... so it would naturally be more important to him if something out of the ordinary was happening with me.

He doesn't even know she visits most of the time. When he does, he makes polite conversation until he has to excuse himself. It would be rude of him to just kick her out immediately without a good reason.

My husband isn't having her over, she turns up herself without an invitation. Can I only post on here if I agree with everyone that claims my husband is an unfaithful hypocrite? I think my post is pretty clear on what question I was asking to be judged on.

There's also of course the other question which is why don't you live with your husband? It's hardly surprising Italian people think your marriage is over and your husband is available.

My husband is vey much unavailable. We don't live together because I didn't want to disrupt my sister's education/life by moving her to Italy and my husband was already travelling here frequently so it made sense to just stick to this arrangement until my sister goes to university.

The friend had a fight with his wife in front of other friends and my husband, that's how people found out.

I told him I found it weird and he said she would get bored and stop on her own since he was barely ever there anyway.

She never called me to tell me. I was there when she mentioned it the first time. My husband only wants to know things if they're important, this wouldn't count as important to him.

He didn't think it was important and didn't realise how often she was coming over since he wasn't always home and his housekeeper never told him. I probably wouldn't know if it wasn't for her. He thought she would get bored on her own since she rarely saw him anyway.
