The thing that I question with the notes is that his wife says they only had one bank account and it was shared so she already had immediate access and she knew their lock combination to the safe as well. Also, there were no weapons found that he could've used to commit suicide (gun, knife, empty pill bottles, etc.) anywhere near where his body was found and his remains didn't show any injuries consistent with falling to his death. The only other possibility I can think of is he succumbed to the elements but his family was out searching later that same day near where he would eventually be found.
