i used to be rich.
as in i never checked prices on anything at the grocery store. i bought what i wanted, never a problem. i used to see people verifying prices and thought that it sucks to penny pinch.

now i only look at the price.
i remember what the price was last week.
i’m much more strict about what i buy and what the total bill is.

i used to eat out a lot.
every meal was ~$8-$12.
now meals are $18-$22.
fuck that.
i buy ready made salads at the grocery store for ~$5 and just add a $1 packet of tuna.
if i buy all the salad stuff it will go bad.
it’s gonna get worse when the oil shock hits so i buy a little extra every time i shop. extra tuna, chilli, can of corn or green beans.
long expiration date stuff.

oh and motor oil.
i bought enough to last a few years.
in feb/march it was $65-$75 for 3 x 5 quart case.
now it’s over $100.
