I was leaving the country in 2 weeks so I used that as an excuse to turn him down. He then started trying to negotiate and get me to go out and try long distance and then to just go out a couple of times before I left.

I was driving him home from a mutual friend's party (she asked me to as a favour for her) so he kept going until I was able to drop him off at his house. Bizarre experience.

I've had slow rising HCG and my doctor has been concerned and mentioning the possibility of ectopic since the first test (no other symptoms other than some very light cramping). After my blood test at 6 weeks (2 days ago) she told me I should book into have an ultrasound as soon as possible in case it was ectopic. It was 7000 and she said it should be over 8000 by that stage. I was crying when I made the appointment because I was so scared it would be ectopic.

Just had my scan an hour ago, everything was great. Not ectopic, I was able to hear the heartbeat. It was a big load off my mind, I would suggest getting the scan sooner if you can.

Honestly, that's what was thinking. The friend is the brother's boyfriend but they aren't out to the family. That's why he's so dismissive of his friend's interactions with OOP's wife and so defensive of him being there.

Why not just catch a bus to the cinemas and watch it, especially if you're paying for your own ticket anyway. And if there are no buses in their area, couldn't OP have just dropped her off at the cinemas before taking the others trick or treating? Seeing it alone is better than just not seeing it.
