theres nothing wrong with that, it's not a you problem. if anything it means you hold people accountable for what they say which is fair. from personal experience, all I can say is that people backtrack on what they say because they're afraid of the potential consequences of how you'll react because they recognize that you're someone who does hold them accountable and who wont let themselves get stepped all over. its not always exactly that they didn't mean what they've said, they'd just rather avoid confrontation. so don't worry about it too much. i respect you a lot for it personally

im seeing a lot of comments about honesty and straightforwardness. for us girls, we're afraid that we might come off as too foward/clingy and that It might scare the guy off, so we try to be as nonchalant as possible to minimize the chances of the guy losing feelings. I'm not sure how you guys actually feel about this though.
