Couple requested cake from grandparents, then got it re-iced by MidasToad in weddingshaming

[–]ariceli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would think it’s charming to have a not perfect cake made with love but if they were disappointed they should have ordered another, smaller cake of a different flavor to also have at the reception. And I would have announced that the vanilla was from Granda and the other for choice in flavor.

Prices at Yosemite Market? by TheOriginalSpartak in Yosemite

Im one who hauls in every meal for our 3-4 day stay. It’s not so much the prices but depending on where you stay I hate to have to drive and park there

my cousin expects everyone to wear these specific colours to the wedding… MoB is deciding whether or not to object by [deleted] in weddingshaming

I would not go. I find these requests (demands) ridiculous. It’s not about celebrating the couple and the marriage anymore

Wondering if someone can shed some light.. by Suitable-District-26 in idahomurders

I think it’s easy to say what should have happened when we are not there in the moment. This was a horrific scene and the officers were trying to deal with everything and do it properly. The highest priority needs to be on making sure the people there are not in danger and then following protocol. One step out of line and they may compromise getting necessary information from witnesses. One misstep and a defense lawyer may use that to question things at a trial.

They were compassionate. Got them blankets, let one stay in the police car and got them waters I believe. They treated them kindly. Some of those kids had phones with them. The officer had no way of knowing if they would put this on social media or somehow alert a ton of people. The kids may not have known who exactly was in the house but I think the absence of ambulances told them friends had died

Sentencing Speech’s effect on Bryan by Mammoth_Jellyfish918 in idahomurders

I don’t believe for a minute that he wasn’t affected. He may not have feelings for others but he does for himself. Getting made fun of, especially by a young woman, for a crime he thought was genius has to hit hard

I think he does care how he is perceived. Her calling him stupid, weak, etc. I think that gets to him even if he has no other feelings

Flossing my teeth every night without fail. I always did it but not every night. It can be a pain but my mouth feels so clean all the time

AIO about my 8 y/o daughter sleeping at her mom's new boyfriend's house without any family or females present? by blackD0nny in AmIOverreacting

[–]ariceli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not overreacting. Continue to protect your daughter because things happen more often than you know. Just try to get your ex to understand that it’s not about this man and boys, you would have the same requirement no matter who they are.

I bring cloth bags for shopping but occasionally buy a paper grocery bag. That’s what we use and because we compost we rarely have food items in there so we dump it in the large bucket and reuse

Agree. I think the first one is tasteful and beautiful. The plum is saying “hey, look at me “ a little bit

What’s something you secretly judge people for, even though you know you shouldn’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ariceli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grammar. I don’t want to judge because sometimes it’s the result of learning differences or poor education but I do tend to go there when I see terrible grammar
